  1. Just look at your car and figure what you would need most commonly to fix or dismantle it. For my beater it Is pretty much 10mm-13, 15, 17, 20, and both kinds of screwdrivers. If I need to mess with the hubs then also a 1 1/4 socket as well.
  2. Yea, it's just for fun to get a taste for it. I don't have the time or money for another class at the moment. Just want to do a couple of races a season. Like I said, it's literally right down the road and would do my damnedest at a budget racer as far as car purchase and all the dumb stuff. Really don't care about it getting banged cause I'm expecting it. What type of speed range do you run and any suggestions on a good car for the class?
  3. Columbus motor speedway is literally a mile away from me and I really want to get involved with it. I was thinking of getting into the crazy compact class initially just to get started on the cheap, but then trying to get into the super stock class. Looking for anyone currently into this to bounce some questions off of.
  4. Damn, went to sawmill and no one I recognized. Finally got the car finished up but it seems I'm too late for everyone
  5. Never doubted, but believe more now than ever. Moved into our new place in October, and weird shit has been happening. Doors slamming, things on top of the fridge (secure in the middle) being knocked off, smoke detectors coming undone off their base and stuff like the tv remote suddenly missing for weeks even after searching the whole place, and reappearing in plain sight.
  6. Like I said pads are good. Not new to brakes. Rocky, I doubt the timing belt has been done and is on my long list of things to do.
  7. Changed the oil in the beater and decided to check the plugs and stuff since it's new to me and seems a bit sluggish. According to ashy white plugs (just short of melting) it's running lean as hell. Car has 137k miles on it and although it was my sisters, I have no clue on the history. I'm thinking maybe a clogged fuel filter or at worst a dying fuel pump, but I've never had this issue and wanted to get some opinions on it. Next issue is I've been hearing what sounds like grinding brakes in the front, when I'm stoping at slower speeds. However, when I checked them tonight, they had plenty of pad left and the rotors were fine.
  8. Fuck hail. Pay off truck Friday, hail damage on Sunday.
  9. Cliffs? Post was flagged
  10. Anybody had anything chromed with black chrome or know what it's about. Really thinking about having some pieces done on the bike but curious about stuff like, durability, how hard is it to scratch, how does it clean up, as well as local or the best places to have it done at.
  11. Already done, haven't used one in almost 2 years. Plus started having money automatically taken out of my check and put into a savings account at a credit union that I have to drive at least 30mins and has funky days/hours of operation, if I want to touch any of it.
  12. This morning I went and paid off the avalanche and my last credit card, and damn does it feel good.
  13. It says it would be open to manufactuerers AND INDIVIDUALS
  14. Had it done about 7 times. No big deal, pain wasn't too bad.
  15. So it appears my tranny finally took a shit in the avalanche and I'm really wanting to take a stab at it myself. Even if I spend the same on tools and parts as I would paying someone, I feel it would be worth it, just to learn to do it myself. Any thoughts/opinions on this, perhaps someone that's done the same thing?
  16. Lol, whenever on the radio at work, if someone is right by me when I am on it and theirs is turned up, it totally fucks me up
  17. Thanks, a straight pick is what I ended up having to do.
  18. Im trying to remove the tranny filter bushing/seal on my avalanche and I can't figure out how to get it out. Hoping AJ pops in. No leaving the old one is not an option
