How would one go about fixing it?

I am looking at getting this S10, and the guy who owns the truck says that when you apply the brakes, the reverse lights come on with the brake lights. He says he cleaned out all the grounds on the rear frame rails and didn't fix anything. Thinks the problem might be the headlight switch, because the driver side upper turn signal bulb does not come on even though he put a new bulb in it. I don't have a clue about wiring and all that, so can somebody shed some light on this for me? I don't want to buy an electrical gremlin that gives me a ton of headaches. Thanks

So after 10 miserable years of losing, my Tampa Bay Rays are finally in the playoffs. It's a pretty good feeling. Don't know if many peeps on here give a shit about baseball though, but it's just tooo sweeeeeet! If I drink a shit ton the night before, I usually have to wake up early in the morning to piss, so while I'm up (and probably still half drunk and feeling like shit) I take a few ibuprofen pills, chug a few cups of water, and go back to bed. Then a few hours later when I wake up, I feel great. Works every time.
