For door installs, I would recommend Kevin Lilly @ ASA Carpentry or Joe Schneider @ Addis Construction. Both are certified installers for Lowe's and do great work. If you get a quote directly from them without going thru Lowe's, I would imagine it would probably be a little cheaper. Yes, Lowe's and Depot are definitely hit or miss. In my five years working for the Hilliard Lowes, we had two great door installers (Kevin and Joe) and two terrible ones (NCF National and Mark Adair).

^ This. I've been successful selling things that I didn't give two shits about, and I'm certainly not the best salesman out there. Hell I don't even consider myself a true salesman, but I've done alright. It's all about your attitude.

You're only 24. You have plenty of time to figure it out. Just look into different shit until you find a career path you want to pursue for the rest of your life. Once you have a better idea of what it is that you want to do, set a long-term goal and go for it. The only advice I have to offer is this: since you're getting paid decent money at the moment, save every fucking penny that you can before quitting your job until you are comfortable enough to have a decent amount of savings. That way you'll have the freedom to go down any road you choose without worrying about paying the bills if you aren't making much money at the start of your new venture. You gotta pay the cost to be the boss. Also, Listen to Bob, Tim, and Clay.

I take back what I said earlier, I have helped a few people at gas stations before, but it's usually easy to tell what they want by how someone approaches you (what they say, what they look like, etc). Just a few weeks ago I put air in some old lady's tire because she didn't know how. But usually it's some bottom feeder looking for money, or some poser scam artist trying to sell shit. I remember several years ago, some guy pretended to be deaf and wanted to sell me some little piece of shit ribbon thing for 5 bucks. Fucking scammers have no shame.

Yeah, the plan all along was to get a nice/fun car to be my good weather toy. I don't mind driving old beaters for a daily, but if I'm driving around town for work like I will be a lot this year, I would prefer something newer for peace of mind. At some point down the road I'll hopefully be at a point where I can afford a toy AND a nice newer daily, but in the meantime I'm willing to compromise and have a car that doubles as both. That being said, as long as I still have a beater that is running well, I'll probably still drive that a lot. Especially on days when there's salt on the roads. I'm really enjoying the S10 I got from you, in fact I've been driving it every day since fixing it. I'm obviously not banking on it to last a long time, but when it blows up I'll just buy another beater to replace it. Right now I just feel like I have two beaters and no fun cars, so something has to change. Another reason why I love CR is hearing several different perspectives from a lot of intelligent people. Gives me a lot to consider.
