Unfortunately I was right. As I was watching this game, I kept waiting for MSU's offense to choke. Never really happened. OSU shot themselves in the foot one too many times. I really wanted to see OSU (hopefully) beat FSU, but now I'm stuck rooting for shitty Auburn (yuck).
-
So true. They have always been like that. Verne creams his pants anytime his homer team has a halfway decent play, "OH BOY MAMA! LOOK AT THAT 8-YARD RUN!" and then Gary chimes in with his typical know-it-all BS.

I have all-seasons on my Camaro (Hankook Optimo H418 to be exact), in the snow they are decent enough around town I suppose. I'm not sure how it was around the rest of Columbus, but the roads in Hilliard were awful last night. I would have expected some snow plows out on the roads but didn't see a single one.

I really hope Missouri beats Auburn. First because I can't stand Auburn, and also because I'm tired of everyone saying Auburn should play for the national title if they win. If OSU beats MSU, no question they deserve to play for the BCS title. Sure the SEC might be a better conference, but that is completely irrelevant. Guess what, Auburn lost a game, OSU didn't. That's the bottom line. For what it's worth, this is a totally unbiased opinion (I'm a Gators fan).

Small world, my friend Jimmy mentioned this to me earlier. Apparently he's also a friend of yours too (Jim Mitchell). That sucks man, sorry to see.

I don't think he actually plans on this selling (he has a '78 Nova project with a 454 he would much rather sell) but if anyone is interested I can get more pics. The car was 99% stock when he got it, all work was done by him and overall the car is in great shape. Honestly I think the car just needs a speed density conversion and a good tune, oh and a decent aftermarket intake manifold. It still has the stock one which I'm sure is holding it back. I have driven the car several times and it's a blast.

Listing this for my brother, I'll copy/paste his ad from thirdgen... Due to some unfortunate circumstances, I need to sell my pride and joy. I've had the car for the last 11 years and bought it in South Dakota. The car is originally from California and is still 100% rust free, even in all the nooks and crannies. Car was originally maroon, but was painted black at some point before I bought it, paint has gloss but is driver quality at best. I replaced the front bumper cover with a good one from another black car, so the paint doesn't match up front. I installed a set of wheels from an '89, and a front spoiler from a '92. Car has t-tops, only leak in very heavy rain. I have new seals for them. Very nice BFG Comp T/A's, but the fronts still need mounted. Windows are tinted fairly dark. The car also has subframe connectors welded on. The interior is nice for it's age. It's a black Custom Cloth interior and has all the options. Of course, there's a tear in the driver's bolster and the tops of the back seat are starting to split. The dash pad is cracked and there's no headliner. Steering wheel has been recovered and the leather shift knob is nice too. Has an older Pioneer CD player with remote, I also changed the rear speakers but I don't recall what they were. Carpet is nice, along with all the plastic panels. Engine is an older GM crate 350 short block, with Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum heads. Mild Crane CumpuCam, two piece timing cover, Comp roller tip 1.6 rockers, Accell 24 lb injectors, and a bunch of Accell ignition components. Chrome Edelbrock headers, hollow converter (by the PO), and Edelbrock cat-back exhaust. PROM is a mail-order tune. Motor doesn't burn oil, there's no funny noises, and it goes like hell to boot. Extremely broad powerband and pulls hard. The trans is a T56 six speed from a '96 Z28. Stock flywheel, Zoom clutch and pressure plate, factory type Hurst shifter. Trans works fantastic and has no issues. Factory aluminum drive shaft, original posi rear with 3.23 gears and disc brakes. Included but not installed, I have the PBR type rear disc setup (complete), and Lakewood lower control arms and adjustable track bar. Oh, and the AC works great when it is charged. The pressure switch on the back of the compressor leaks and the AC is inop after a few months. Heat works well. And the hatch pull-down works well too. Now for the big flaw. The car has an issue having to do with the MAF, there's an intermittent problem where it sets code 33 and the driveability goes to crap. I tried a few things to fix it, but I think a speed density conversion would be best (and simplest). And the speedo (a 145 mph unit) does not work since the trans swap. All in all, the car is fun, comfortable and actually fairly economical to drive (with your foot out of it). I will be very sad to see it go, but somebody else will get a lot of enjoyment out of it. $4900 is my asking price, I'll be losing a lot. Located in central Ohio. I don't have any recent pics at all, I'll update with new later on if it quits snowing here. http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2716/5822730513_5f9c7c74ed_b.jpg

For the money you'll spend fixing everything on that shitbox just to make it safe, you could buy something better/nicer that needs little/no work

$5000 Car: Columbus racing craisglist challenge

GTP or any other L67 car for 3-4k. Or any of the others already mentioned in this thread -
I still think that Urban left the program in pretty bad shape, but it's become a complete dumpster fire under Muschamp. The current coaching staff has no idea how to develop any form of depth or a halfway competent offense. That and all the penalties, poor gameplans, failures to make in game adjustments, terrible game management, etc....that all falls on Muschamp. I like the guy, but he makes Ron Zook look like a good head coach (that's a very bad thing). The problem is I'm not sure the right coach is out there to replace him. I've heard Gundy (OkSt) Franklin (Vandy) and a few other names tossed around. I'm not so sure Muschamp actually gets fired this offseason, which worries me.

So, I'm a Florida fan... and Florida lost to a middle of the road FCS school, at home, that missed two PAT's, didn't have a single pass yard, and turned the ball over 3 times to Florida's zero. They have just as many injuries as Florida. Oh, and UF had to pay them $550,000 for the beating they took. We have officially hit rock bottom.

When you swype a word and the "suggested alternate words" or whatever they are called pop up above the keyboard, do a long press and it will give you the option to delete the bullshit word
-
Notepad, flashlight, MP3 music downloader, weather channel, I've used Yelp once or twice. I use Handcent SMS only because I've used it for years and it was always better than the default messenger. Galaxy S3 Swype Pro? Whatever this is, I need it. I always use the default swype just because it's so much faster than trying to type out each letter/word with my fat fingers, but gat dayum does it fuck up a lot. I swear to God if I try to type "and" and it comes up as "abs" one more fucking time... But yeah, I'll give this Pro thing a shot. Edit: I couldn't find any app called Swype Pro, but I did figure out how to delete "abs" and other bullshit words from the dictionary

Center the weight as far towards the rear axle as you can. Polish and lubricate the axles. You also want to make the wheels perfectly round and balanced, and might even sand them, I can't remember. I know if you fuck with the wheels somehow it helps. Google found this, seems legit... http://boyslife.org/hobbies-projects/projects/2952/speed-secrets/

OK, computers piss me off and I don't know shit about fixing internet connections, so maybe one of you smart folks can help me out. Here's the jist of it: -We have WOW cable internet, always works great -Until today, when internet stopped working -Our laptops say we're still connected, signal strength excellent -Web pages won't load for any of us -We unplug a bunch of bullshit, restart computers, etc -Still doesn't work -Plug ethernet cable into buddy's laptop, hey the internet works -I plug the ethernet cable from the modem into a different port on the router -"Repair" internet connection on my laptop -Sweet! Wifi internet now works perfect on my laptop -Damn. Still doesn't work for my roommates laptops, or our phones -Buddy's laptop w/ Windows 7 is connected but says "no internet access" We figured the router went bad, but why would it start working on my laptop but nothing else??? What do I do next?

Good lookin out. But whenever I went to Pick N Pull they never had any wheels in the yard, only a few random sets by the checkout. I'll probably stop by Woodys my next day off work

Ideally I just need one 15" 5-spoke Camaro wheel, in the following style... http://thumbs4.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/mrOtr6hRwJg57PwylwHZFQA.jpg Or, a pair of 15" wheels, any style, 5x4.75, offset & backspacing appropriate for a 3rd gen f-body. 2WD S10 wheels would work fine. Not looking to spend much (they are just for winter use). Thanks!

Kid got what was coming to him. Sucks for the family, but he deserved it. If the kid was born with some kind of mental deficiency that's one thing, but I'm willing to bet it's another case of shitty parenting

I don't know how much extra coin you have to spend, but there are great deals this time of year for cruises. If you don't wanna spend much or can't get a whole week off for vaca, just go somewhere for a weekend getaway. If you don't go anywhere, at least make her breakfast in bed or something. Little shit like that goes a long way.
