So David, aka Forrest Gump 9 here on CR, brought a member of his fleet over for my Option 2; Premium Enhancement Service. The Premium Enhancement adds optical clarity, depth of color all with the goal is to significantly reduce and in many cases eliminate 75%+ of the swirls and abrasions. Perfect for his wife's daily driver, a 2005 E55 with 115k on the clock. That said, this is his wife's car and with that came David's request to "make the car look great" because as we all know, a happy wife makes a happy life. At some point in it's past the car had some paint work on the hood, roof and likely 1-2 other panels. Not badly done but those surfaces needed more than just a single stage polish. After a brief call to discuss the options, we opted to hit several panels with some compound and then a gloss enhancing polish to even out the paint, remove the look of "I've been painted" and really make the panels pop! To add to the Pop and protection, this E55 was coated with Nano Ceramic Coating as per my my promotion. So here we go: Upon examination at drop off, it was clear the paint was hammered and was loaded with over-spray, contamination and medium to heavy swirls and spidering of the clear. The paint was actually worse than what these pics show. http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah133/PDQS4/Misc%20Detailing/20161105_094556%20ham4_zpsclixjr3q.jpg http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah133/PDQS4/Misc%20Detailing/20161105_070619%20ham2_zpsyfhsz68a.jpg Before work begins, taping off is in order. Thankfully this wagon didn't have too much that really needed taped. http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah133/PDQS4/Misc%20Detailing/20161105_104008%20prep_zpscra3k8fj.jpg Clarity....in terms of photos, no this one is NOT out of focus. The paint was just that bad. http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah133/PDQS4/Misc%20Detailing/20161105_110323%20before_zpsyyjsy2tg.jpg The good news is that after just a few passes with heavy compound, the clarity began to come back. http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah133/PDQS4/Misc%20Detailing/20161105_110310%20after%201%20pass_zpsgs8ohvf5.jpg At the end of it all, the car turned out about 90-95% corrected and the hood and roof were now as clear as the rest of the car. The great part about this car IS the color. In the sun it's a bronze/Dark Gray Metallic with bronze tinted metal trim. In the shade or at night it appear black and when the light hits it, you can clearly see not pure black. Neat effect. http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah133/PDQS4/Misc%20Detailing/20161105_145013%20sparkle_zpsodygivkm.jpg http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah133/PDQS4/Misc%20Detailing/20161105_164750%20web_zpsgyztwgss.jpg Ignore the cloudy lights up front. I would have fixed them but David has already ordered up replacements for all of them. He also suggested I not fuss too much with the wheels for now. http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah133/PDQS4/Misc%20Detailing/20161105_164805%20web_zpslqlkc0lw.jpg http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah133/PDQS4/Misc%20Detailing/20161105_164933%20web_zpsfyejhlbz.jpg All in all the car turned out great and but was certainly a challenge. MBZ have hard clear coats requiring a lot of work. Thankfully the Flex 3401 Buffer is also a German Made Power House and cut right through the mess. Thanks to David for trusting me with the wife's Daily. I look forward to doing the same and more with the 911/996 Turbo in the coming week or so. Thanks for reading along. -tim http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah133/PDQS4/Misc%20Fun/CR%20Banner_zpsahtckiud.jpg Save

Pics of said Si? You may see me zipping around Rickenbacker and over into Canal as I frequent the area for work.

I know it wasn't asked of me but I'll put my wife up front who no longer practices law but donates 12-16hrs per week at Old Sawmill and Davis Middle School volunteering as a math tutor and an English as a Second Language tutor for kids there. Most of her students have immigrated to the US in the recent past too. Kerry may crack on that being my wife vs me, but together we've given up a HUGE income to not only benefit my kids but other families kids as well. To me that does count as I am left to shoulder the income for the family. For me, I won't get into details but my work is a not for profit company that 1/3 of my budget for the job I do is towards 100% charity work. Kerry...you're turn.

Analogy doesn't quite work. Physically I"m not going to get taller but financially and from a social / business perspective, the sky is the limit and I'm my greatest enemy at whether or not I succeed with my goals. I'm pretty sure that "class" or category you're referencing has had MANY people succeed. No it doesn't. What we have is letting them just continue to exist. Forcing someone to put skin-in-the-game on their own life is growing them beyond what they are today and in many cases sparking the fire in the belly that leads to success. Please....there's plenty of tax money to pay for those things. This country needs to shore-up the bleeding and fix the right that has been wrong in terms of what money was stolen from social security to fund other things. That is a MAJOR issue that will need addressed soon or at some point in the near future. Not going to pay it with Obamafail or Hil liar y's failed ways either. All he's done is spend money and give away money he doesn't have.

So our money working for us in our investments isn't being put to good use by the companies we are investing in? Last I checked my Apple stock is helping them build more products and be who they are which is a pretty solid US Based company. I would bet it's doing WAY more good for our country inside an investment than if I were toss that shit into our gov'ts hands in the form of taxes where they will just squander it. I could say the same for the shit-ton of Ford Stock I bought back in the early days of Obama's depression but thanks to Clinton and the policies we have in place today, Ford moved out of the US and is using my money to help the Mexicans out with their new assembly plant. Even my Fusion Sport was assembled in Mexico. So I guess you could say I support Mexico too and am doing some international good.

I see the point you're trying to make and personally don't agree with a flat tax on income. Again, I'd rather see a consumption tax than income tax. However the "curve" you discuss in terms of a dollar's value is based on a bar that is set low. Who are you or anyone to say what the "value" of a dollar is to Kirk or me? You seem to imply the intrinsic value to Kirk isn't as much as someone else. Again, I see your point but don't agree that your or Bernie can sit around and say well a dollar would buy a homeless guy a burger and that it's wrong that it someone like Kirk needs $15 to buy a burger he would eat. Stop telling people who succeed and living the dream they have EARNED is wrong or not fair. Fuck that noise. Why do we set the bar so low and always base things on those that are poor? See, that's the problem Kerry. This country is always trying to set the bar so EVERYONE can hop over it easily at the expense of all those around them who can jump much higher. How about we tell the little guy that he needs to RAISE HIS bar in order to participate in the fun reindeer games of life and actually insist they do that? NO not everyone get's a trophy or prize. Welcome to the REAL world. Again, no one is saying kill all social programs but we need to STOP allowing people to just exist. We need to insist they start working hard and living life and accept that anything worth the a darn comes with the price of hard work. NO, it's not okay to just exist and live off the system or point fingers. If you're not part of the solution for the problem you're complaining about then you are the problem. Everyone can succeed and yes, some will have to work harder than others and no not everyone will get the same starting position in life. Hello, welcome to the world.
-
LOL! or perhaps it applies to those of us that actually have something to be responsible for.....
-
so a performer like Kirk who is a doctor or a successful sales person or a banker/investor doesn't provide any social benefits to others in any way? I cut people who actually CONTRIBUTE and don't COMPLAIN and live off the system and whine about things a break. Yes. it's called self initiative and a drive to succeed vs sit around bitching and pointing fingers while not having a plan for what to eat for dinner let alone where they are going to be in 5 years. my house of cards is built with millions of examples of people doing the above. many of whom are right here on this board too. guess we're all just living in fantasy land.
-
if you feel the above is nonsense then that clearly outlines why you typically don't side with people who are performers. the problem with America is the sense of entitlement that so many have that they feel they should be treated as if they are indeed performers when they are not and many don't even try to be. so many like Bernie think they have a right to redistribute the performance and wealth of people to those they choose. fuck them and that bullshit. raise the bar and live life with aspirations and vigor to seize the day. we need to quit giving everyone a trophy and start instilling a sense of drive in people and instilling a sense of them having to be accountable for their actions and actually put some skin-in-the-game for any assistance they receive.

The rarity of the car is growing on me. Especially the unicorn 6 speeds. As noted, it's not the fastest boat in the world but down the road a simple turbo or SC set up would change that and still keep it as solid and reliable as can be. THAT would be a kick-ass ride, especially if kept tastefully done.

Wife and I do that exact thing and I love it and while you don't seemingly agree with it I do. It's my income and money that I'm riding out there with the risk of tenants and MY investment, MY money on the ropes not the gov'ts. Uncle Sam can kiss my ass if they think I'm going to want to give them more money to squander. Again, that's where the line does need to be drawn. I pay enough taxes per year so the gov't and social programs trying to suck away more can kiss my ass for working MY Money the SMART way. Society doesn't benefit if I leave MY equity in the property so don't penalize me with taxes when I pull that equity out to enjoy it. There IS a point at which the smart working their money shouldn't be continually taxed. It's called pay the performers. Anyone bitching needs to either smarten up and start over-achieving or stay where they are and worry about themselves, not what others are doing with the money they are earning. No one is forcing them not to participate in the reindeer games. Save

I cite a news agency on things and you blast me, you cite the freaking Dispatch and you're golden. Gotcha. Yes, money makes a difference. Welcome to life. No one is saying this doesn't exist but it's not the norm nor do I believe it's a rampant problem. No one is saying squash all Aid Programs. I personally feel any public aid needs to come with an equal amount of responsibility and skin in the game on the part of the recipient. To give with no expectation of return on this investment is stupid and a waste. It's been proven over and over again. Those that take aid and succeed have nothing to worry about. The ones who bark are the ones who don't have any intention of doing anything but whine and lack the discipline of being held accountable. All change starts from within.

Teachers and books do no good if the parents don't instill values into the child and kids don't choose to use them. Last I checked even the worst rated schools have teachers and books in them. Good kids still graduate and students there move on in life just fine. Most in-part to their efforts. Even our worst school districts have teachers who care and books in them. More often than not it's not the schools or the teachers or the books that are the problem. Actually you can pay to have your kids in Dublin Schools. It's not cheap but if you really wanted to you could. There are actually pretty affordable housing areas within the district though. Same in Worthington and Westerville. You do have a choice. Since when to employers have a role to support how employees get to work? Never. Ironically, there are bus lines along Alum Creek over to our facility just north of Rickenbacker. In terms of cutting slack; it has nothing to do with not having empathy. I understand the situations that life tosses at them, but again, employers a responsibility to ALL of their employees. I hold everyone to the same standards and expectations. doing otherwise would be unfair to everyone. It's not a double standard. The neighborhood I'm a part of is exactly that. WE have a role and responsibility to our fellow neighborhood members to insure we keep a safe and clean and attractive area for our own sake but no, we down owe the families off Morse Rd. our efforts to keep their area the same. That's THEIR role. We all have a role and place for that role. No, I don't subscribe to the nation as one big ass community the way you're trying to spin it. There's a role for such things as like that in terms of national security for example, but not at every level or on every issue. Hence the reason there are borders for communities and cities and counties and states and governing officials at those levels too. Let's not move the goal posts....stick to people being accountable for their own fines and actions that led to them getting said fines. this point you're on started when you mentioned " But yes Sometimes it is, esp if your summons is being sent to the wrong address because you didn't have ID when you got stopped and now the fees and interest have turned $50 or $90 into several hundred. " So I would add whatis a 15yr old doing to get a summons and where the hell where their parents when all that was unfolding? Again, parenting and personal responsibility. I don't see my 13yr old doing something to where he's going to get a summons that I wouldn't actively be involved in when it was going down. 10/10 times if he were, the cops are going to come see me or my wife and we would insure all the paperwork is completed correctly to see the instance through. You see victims, I see people who aren't engaged in their own life yet expect everyone else to be. Sorry, it doesn't work that way, hence why so many are crying in their own hands and nothing is getting done. Time they accept their role in their own life. Actually they do insist he comply with uniforms. case in point in his last meet of the season he was tossed into the mix of a relay but had the wrong shirt. He didn't cry foul or make excuses or get mad, he went around and found a kid who swapped shirts with him so he could do-work on the track. He MADE THAT SHIT Happen and they won the relay! He also has been tripped in races and whether by acccident or purposely, he got back up and kept running with not a fuck given about the instance. He owed the team a finish and he did that. Both True stories. No, we were required to buy their uniforms as his school is a pay to play system just like many. He and his friends sold books, candy and even took up go-fund me accounts to fund the team. The kids did that as a team and the parents helped make it happen with them. Imagine, engaged parents, and actively participating kids. No one bitched about it either. Not as a group anyway. There was work to be done. Actually it does work like that and yes other factors in life also play in. You might not like it but it's called reality. To those that want to keep whining and crying foul, keep right because the rest of society is going to pass you on the left.

He never said the MAJORITY are rapists. Please put that BS Liberal media talking point down. Kate's Law is solid and needs passed. Sanctuary City BS needs to go by the wayside. WTH anyone would support that shit is beyond me. He's not polished and yes, he's entertaining. Meh. Obama is super polished and can be entertaining too but he sucks ass IMO. No thanks. I'll set aside the polished political rhetoric this round and we aren't likely going to be any worse off. Certainly would never support Hit liar y as she's a disastrous train wreck of a lying sack of shit if ever there was one. She couldn't come across more fake and full of shit if she actually tried. The sense of entitlement she exhibits is laughable. Both are hated as candidates by many but IMO with Trump, he knows it and does acknowledge it. He will tout his fan base of course but the difference is Hit liar y is a cunt who pretends the hate towards her doesn't exist, that she's loved by all and has earned her place in the white house and that people feel the same of her when in fact that's a crock. She will change her tune depending on who she's talking to as well. She gets that from Obamafail who plays the black-voice slang when he wants to then reverts back to perfect rhetoric when he needs to. Bullshit artists abound but I'll take the one who we know and who knows he's a bullshitter vs the the ones who will deny they are and pretend they aren't.

In the end it still starts with the families at home. You aren't going to put a kid from the hood in the best schools around and see them do well if the parents aren't engaged. My kids go to Old Sawmill and Davis Middle and Nick also has 3 classes at Scioto High School and all are on the east side of the River aka well integrated. They rate among the best schools and yet the kids who you can see don't come from the best families struggle. They do so because as the teaches and my own kids tell us, they aren't engaged or their parents don't parent well. See my comments above about good schools and kids. Yes, I can afford tutoring but we don't pay for that. My wife and I are engaged and very active in ensuring our kids do what needs done. It's called parenting. I don't care what your situation, if you brought child into this world you need to parent. Period. I recognize the situation on both sides Kerry. I'm not about to make excuses however for those that may be in my situation. You can do that but the reality is LIFE in the REAL WORLD doesn't make excuses or care. Kids and families today have to begin to better apply themselves as life in the real world isn't just about competing with my kids but the kids from Japan and other cultures that come here and better themselves and COMPETE for the same jobs and education. Life doesn't lower the bar to support those in need nor should it really. It's not garbage. Just the same you apparently choose to not believe people have a responsibility and role and standards to meet that are the same as those around them and even if they have advantages others don't. There too, just because you don't believe such exists in life doesn't mean it's not true just the same. The difference is when you don't believe what I'm sharing...you get caught up in generations of shit-life. If you recognize and acknowlege and work to change things, you stand far far greater odds of getting out of that shit life. The choice is there for people to make. All people. Victim or Victor, what do you want to be in life? It starts there. Last I checked, kids can go to school where they like. In fact Trump does support school choice, charter schools and voucher programs. The people you speak of are victims of their own mindset and those that are keeping them down aren't the conservatives. I know a lot of them Kerry. I employ 315 people at my work that make between min. wage and $20hr typically. The number one reason they get fired or fail.....they don't show up for work or show on-time. There's always an excuse and I feel bad but I can't support lowering the bar of expectations for a few when I can fill the place with hundreds that will do what they need to do to succeed. Those same 11% have family, friends, churches or others and there are tons of others that can/will help. Hey, in the end, perhaps those very bottom dwellers who actually can't....shouldn't. Stay home and don't vote. All boils down to how bad do THEY want to do what needs done to vote. I give little fucks about people who don't pay fines they own and they incurred. I refuse to lower the bar on that for anyone. ^^ perhaps they should have ensured they had their ID With them. That's on them not society. In turn those fees and interest are on them too. Pretty simple concept called personal responsibility. I do too Kerry. The difference is you think the system is working against them when I see it as many of those people just don't want to work harder than others to get the same thing. They play a victim card when asked to do so. Sorry but that's life. We all have to face varying levels of efforts required to do what may not be the case for others. I am not from a family of athletes or jocks and my genetics aren't going to help my son in track, but he recognizes that and trains harder, and works more than others who are naturally talented. He doesn't cry foul or play victim.
-
Because the $8.50 fee is too much for Ohio people... Dude, really? They even get their ID's mailed to them. I don't believe Oho withholds them based on fines, but then is it really too much to ask that people PAY FINES THEY OWE? Again, since when is it wrong to hold people TO THE SAME STANDARDS? Sorry, but I DO expect people to be accountable for their actions and pay fines when owed. You talk about "the very wealthy who don't pay their fair share into the system" yet you want to give a break to others for not doing the same. Double standard much? Last I checked, being accountable for ones actions is FREE. Save

I agree that a flat tax isn't the end all be all. Percentages are deceiving at either the high or low end of the income spectrum. I personally don't agree with having much of an "income" based tax system as I do support more of a consumption based system. meh...life isn't fair. sorry, but the above impacts everyone including me, you, the movie stars, ball players, so there's really no river of tears flowing from me. people need to accept what they have and the cards they start with and begin to make more of their lives vs trying to point fingers at where others based on where they are starting out. I also believe there comes a point where what you call "Society Providing Opportunities" ends and the benefits of those that work hard and smart take over. Society didn't / doesn't provide ME with EVERYTHING. I benefit from society SOME but the majority of what I have I EARNED through my OWN work and efforts. I put in a lot and I DESERVE to be rewarded. Pay the Performers and let them reap the benefits of their efforts. The bullshit that society provides us everything is exactly that, bullshit. No different on the other end that it's not society's fault that some are sucking ass in life. Again, play the cards you're dealt and don't rely so much on where you came from or started with. Time for people to realize that life is what they make of it. Life doesn't just happen to you but it happens because of you. Until they move past a victim mindset they will continue to suck ass due in part to their own actions and mindset, not at the fault of anyone else. Triple play, bases loaded.

Requiring them to have an state issued ID is suppressing them? Sounds to me like the poor, blacks, native Americans and old people should be better. Seriously....get a freaking ID. Pretty simple.
-
...because the dems have done so much to help foster and instill the great public education systems we see today right? if what they were doing was so great, the budgets wouldn't be so freaking high and the levels so low thus creating the problem I'm speaking about. in the end however, it's not the Fed's place to really tackle that. IMO it's up to the states with the support of the Fed where needed $$ but mostly up to the families to ensure they are actually parenting and raising good kids who actually study and not gang-bang. but then as I type this my wife is prepping the kids for school and doing a final review of their homework they completed last night in what we have as a set regiment to insure they are getting the most out of their day. Again, proper parenting.
-
the problem today is there's too many stupid ass people who have zero clue on issues that get to cast a vote. watch any of the late night shows that go walking the streets and LOL as countless clueless voters chime in. people who have ZERO clue or make no effort at all are guiding us. perhaps that's how it's supposed to work but then that's why the system is so fucked up and the people in charge are manipulating the system like they are.

I agree with Brandon. Cubs definitely earned the win. Wish it was the Indians but the Cubs provided a good death and an exciting series.
