If you have a a stock cable you NEED a double hook, I had a single hook (bbk quadrant) and with that a stock cable and a firewall adjuster the cable was too short no matter how far in the firewall adjuster clutch felt awesome but slipped under hard accel, brand new clutch as well at the time

and if you need help talkin out the dash let me know im down for lending a hand ive taken a few out of these cars

Dave I HAD the bbk kit from jegs it was JUNK use Stock cable with a steeda double hook quadrand with the cable on the second hook (closeest to the firewall) and a firewall adjuster ill show you mine or let you drive it i like the set up no problems at all with that set up

The 96 explorer motor is still gt40 non p heads but ramsey and I had the heads with plugs in them and there was no signs of any interference as long as 90 degree plug boots are used.

by the way we mocked these up with chads turbo kit headers and the will work fine as long as 90 degree spark plug boots are used...

Wrong gt40p heads require different spark plug wires with 90 degre plug boots they do not require "specif" headers they worked perferctly fine with bbk long tube and bbk shorties on my friends coupe....

ramsey they should work the bolt patters are the same its the plug wires that will need to be checked, and thank you rob for awnsering all these questions and being my tech support Ramsey when is a good time to meet up with you? lmk
