I used the standard low back seats in my first one. Then I used the street performers in my last 2. The only thing is the street performers sit at an angle paralell to the transmission bracing. Also if you use the street performers you will have to angle them back, they tend to lean forward in that car for some reason. On my last build I had the driveshaft shortened and it only cost $40. If you need their number just let me know.

For the inspection all you need is the inspection form along with all your paperwork. They will want to see a body on the car before they will make it street legal. Ohio has no limit on registerating a certain number of cars. The seat that will fit between the 4 in rails? You will have to use those rails to mount a atleast a part of the seat . I have some seat plates if you want them, they are the same size as a racing seat that I used in my last build. It is the same size as the base of the racing seats used in these cars.

Yes, It will take you years to get a nearly weed free yard if you till it. I will check on topsoil prices. My father in law hauls it and sells it to me for a good price.

Here is something for you. If you have a realtor [ even if you are buying a new home] . The home builder will give the realtor a couple of percent of the purchase price . Don't know why . Work something out with a realtor so that they will split the 2% with you. That will be some extra cash. The money has to come from the realtor and not the builder.

That is true about the back yard. I live on a corner and do not have a fence = easy access. Slinger is around 10 yards for $275- 300 I am guesing , I have not used them for a couple of years. If you can get one of the landscapers to buy it for you , at their dicscount . You might pay as little as $12 a yard.

Or you can always get slinger jones to sling most of it where you want it. How much topsoil do you need anyway?

When I put my first Cobra together I took my dash into Jegs and actually put the gauges in the dash to see how it would look. Bam, do you have a hole saw, and if so what size gauges are you going to run? If you run the 5 in. tach and speedo you might not have enough room behind the dash . Not sure on a mk1 but on a mkII it hit the steel tubing behind the dash. I have a ffr at my house that is being assembled if you ever want to take a look. It goes to the painter next week though. Never mind I forgot your Dad has one.
