Document everything , even carry a camera with you! If you get the protection order , hire a p.i. to photograph and document his violation of this order. You know he will violate it. Also be very careful, and watch your back. If he has appraoched you with your family , who knows what he is capable of. If you can get a conceal carry license , then that might change things.

The march piece will also eliminate your belt tensioner , if I am not mistaken.

At the drivers school, how much seat time do you get? Does an instructor set in the car with you all the time?

I agree with the ufo course. It was alittle scary running within a few feet of the wall. The miata club was fun and I did reach 45 mph , for a split second { I heard at the coop you might get up to 80? }. The only knock on the scca is it takes up the whole day.

Look at http://www.unitedfordowners.com and http://www.buckeyemiataclub.com Both of these clubs only have 10 cars at the ufo and 25 at the buckeye miata club. When you run with the ufo you will get 10 runs in 1 1/2 hours , and with the miata club you will get 9runs in 6 hours. This way you can get as much seat time as possible . They let any kind of cars run. Oh , at the ford owners club you do not have to work the course. This way you will be more competitive at the scca.

The buckeye miata club has autox's 1 time a month at the Ohio Historical Building , and all are welcome. I would go with the c5 vette or a mini cooper s . Thoes might be pushing the price limit. Why not build a Porsche 550 spyder? You will be right around that price, and think how cool you will look.
