How much do you want for the Nordic track?
  2. Those thing are not cheap to build.
  3. I wish I could find the pics. There is a pic of an original Cobra and 10-12 other historic cars { 69 z28 , mid year vettes} involved in a crash at some historic races last year. The pics were also on http://www.ffcobra.com somewhere. It might have been on club cobra instead. I will try to find it.
  4. Same thing happened to me 6 mionths ago. I will only open e-mails from people I know now, and will now only open e-bay e-mails from their site. It sucks man. Good luck getting it straightened out.
  5. It is possible with 800 hp. Still the aerodynamics have to put a limit on top end somewhere. There is a guy with a kit in Germany that has 1300 hp. He claims it will go from 0-300kmh in something like 10 seconds. I would post the story , but I do not know how to link to it. The story is ove ron http://www.ffcobra.com and look under the roadster forum.
  6. I have seen around 1000 Cobras in my life. Only 1 time have I even seen an original one. That one was brought in on a trailer from Shelby American at the third London Cobra show. It was a one time race car, and it looked the part. It was rough. I usually tell people how to tell the original ones from the replicas. The replicas look like show cars.
  7. Supercars.net states that the Cobra has a top speed of 165mph. Carroll has already proved that he likes to tell some tall tales. Do you think that car could do 190? Do you think a 85 year old man with 5 transplant surgeries and carrying a flask of his favorite beverage in his shirt pocket could ever drive any car that fast now?
  8. It was a joke. There is a guy I know that calls his car Real , just not real old. There are more than a few guys that will tell you that theirs is a " real " one.
  9. Bam 614 is building a Cobra from nearly scratch, minus the frame.
  10. Depends on what components you put into one. My first Cobra ran 19k, and I used all used parts. Second one was a mixture of new and used parts and cost 30k . Third one was all new and cost me 35-36k, I bought the best and shiniest parts for that one. I did all my own work and the only thing I did not do was paint. Daytona coupe will run mid 40's, but have heard of being able to build them for mid 30's . My next one will be a coupe. As fa ras the gt40' s go I can only guess as I have no first hand knowledge. If you want to get a closer look at 400 Cobras , coupes and even a few gt 40's try http://www.londoncobrashow.com I have been there the last 4 years. You will see most of the manufactures and talk to people that built them. If you are ever serious about buying one let me know first , I can save you around $2500.
  11. I have had 3 real ..... replicas . I am now building a 4th. They are a blast. My last one I had, I recorded a 0-60 OF 3.9 according to g-tech.
  12. 0-60 it is a beast. High hp and low weight is always good.
  13. A brick is more aerodynamic that the old Cobras. They have a huge hole in the front end and tend to lift at a high speed, I know this from experience.
  14. 190mph? That car wouldn't go that fast without a fixed roof according to everything that i have heard. That is why they built the Daytona coupe , for top end speed.
  15. Autoxed since 92, this year will do both autox and drag racing.
  16. Are you going to install a 1/2 cage for the driver or a cage for the entire cockpit? If you ever go to drivers schools and have an instructor in the car you will need a full cage. You can always look at Factory Fives web-site for both kind of cages and have someone build it for you then. The have pictures of the cages in their brochure. You will most likely need the body for the roll bars, since you will have to drill holes in it and make sure the doors will open and shut. Unless you are not going to have functioning doors.
  17. True , I almost forgot. I have heard that 1/8th mile tracks will give you alittle more leeway. What setup are you running in your Kit?
  18. You will need a full cage for that Cobra. When I went with mine we were not allowed to run faster than 13.99 { I think} without one. You will also most likely need arm straps, long sleeved jacket etc. NTR let us run , but also told us we need to make the safety changes before we were allowed back.
  19. Gears and Heads are the best bang for the buck on a 5.0 . Now if there is no money limit , rebuild it and put a blower on it.
  20. Maybe I will give them a call. Thats funny they call it a tuner car.
