  1. If I really didnt care, then I suppose it makes sense.
  2. probably a repost, but only went back 3 pages http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a299/iwashmycar/forum/5wKut.png
  3. I certainly don't know about 20's but those Scion wheels gotta go!
  4. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a299/iwashmycar/forum/hitit3times.jpg
  5. Id vote drop in for the slick-ness of them. Just make sure to clean UNDER it now and then. My boss had an old Dakota I detailed for him with a drop in. Probably had half a load of mulch under the damned thing.... still wasnt any rust though.
  6. I guess it won't matter anyway lol I think the guy flaked. I finally called him around when we were getting ready to leave and he said his girlfriend had lost the keys and he would call me soon when they were found.... never did. We just sat around all day and waited. So I probably dont want to even deal with someone who is either being sketchy or just simply THAT blatantly dumb.... no common courtesy.... and he never did give me the VIN I asked for Saturday. (though I was going to check it upon arrival anyway) Oh well... now the XTerra is spotlessly detailed for my wife
  7. I have heard that the plastics do just wear...like that brake switch, all the vacuum lines, maybe the turn signal stalk, ect.
  8. Sounds like a plan then. I tend to side with the "dont even break the seal" once the mileage gets up there, but at 102 that seems on the low side for the year so I suppose a test drive will tell...I assume I could do the usual color/smell test through a fill plug or something if possible. I had the same transmission concerns with the XTerra... just gotta hope to get lucky with one having proper maintenance i suppose
  9. I figure there are some good VAG guys on here lol. Anyway I got bored and started looking around locally for people interested in trading since we have not been a fan of our recently acquired 2003 XTerra. When we were looking we were interested in small SUV's with the exception of something like a Jetta...never found a Jetta in the price range. Anyway the Passat in question is a V6 with 102,000 miles. Had timing done at like 80K he said. Sounds like a car guy though it is his girlfriends car... he is on a modified Civic board from my quick internet research lol.. The "selling price" on it is 5300 http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a299/iwashmycar/FOR%20SALE/b55e.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a299/iwashmycar/FOR%20SALE/b55i.jpg I would give up the 03 XTerra with 135K miles. We just hate how it drives... It has had it's timing done at 102K. I paid 5400 for it in January. It still isn't perfect as it has some clank in the suspension, but it is damned clean, even underneath. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a299/iwashmycar/XTerra/IMG-20120128-00009.jpg Anyway... would this be automotive suicide? From what Ive read the v6 ones are pretty decent, and I am certainly good with maintaining vehicles. Owning 2 SUVs isnt all it's cracked up to be either. TIA
  10. If I did it again I would go for an '06 Supercharged one. The interior is not as up to par, but that supercharger whine is awesome in a tiny car.
  11. I liked mine, but not enough to keep her past warranty, lol I do miss that interior. Also had the heaviest doors on a car I have ever closed....always felt good.
  12. damn. i bet that is fun. very cool
  13. I did the same for Enterprise. One state away was the rule. I drove it from SC to OH. I did this with 2 different cars on 2 occasions. They didnt bat an eye. I know... "but what if you wreck it?" That's the chance you take On one occasion I rented a standard car (wanted a Fusion)... ended up with a fully loaded Equinox. Was pretty nice for the long trip! DO NOT use the airport. PITFA ps. you have a PM
  14. Ill shoot him a text and see if he even cares to still fix it! Its been dented for like 2 years lol isnt it this one? http://www.ultimatemotorx.net/visoemcafiho111.html
  15. Maybe an email to them would work?
  16. A hood for a 3 wagon? I know a guy in Canal who could use one since his is creased. If you dont have a deal set in stone let me know the details. I know his is an 04
  17. Did you try and look it up? Is this thread just a joke since it is in the kitchen?
