I had comp in my 04gt in they were great. It will depend on price because I still need to do a maf conversion to get it tuned.

^ When I get a cam it will either be x or f or a comp cam, thanks though. So do you need to remove the plug and why is it there on the cover? I thought the block only has freeze plugs.

I now live in valleyview but my car is at my shop on fisher between hague and wilson. I will be there all weekend. Any help would be great. i am going to take some pictures of it and put them on here so you guys can see my situation.

Is the oil pan a multi piece gasket? I will doing the jegs waterpump with this, new gaskets bolts and a smog/air pump delete since I am down there. I also just went to the junkyard and got some parts. Found a center console with the ashtray still working, oh yes! Also some 95 seats.

Its not MAF yet but will be. I would like to do a cam but funds are low. Even a timing cover is a stretch right now. My girlfriend went crazy on christmas on our new daughter. Next weekend I have all weekend to work on it and that is when I am going back over there to do it. I also am putting nitrous on it which I am accuring from my friend. I would love to have some help, any is always better espically since you just did this. I have all kinda of tools and a heated garage.

lol, yes very true. I did take a hammer and screwdryver to it but it cracked the timing cover. I am just going to use jb weld on it because I can't afford a new one unless I really have to. I know it sounds bad but I don't have much of an option right now. I will probablly bust out the air hammer on it. if anybody wanted to help cough cough doors are open. thanks for all the info.

thanks for that diagram, its exactly what I needed. there is technically nothing holding the waterpump on but since the bolts are seized in the water pump I can not slide it off and the head broke up off with nothing sticking out for vise grips. the pump went bad that's why I am replacing it.

the bolts are seized inside the pump. do you have to remove the oil pan to get the cover off and can the cover come off with the pump still attached?

I got a 88gt for a decent price but it needs a waterpump. so as I was attemting to remove it 5 bolts broke off. no I wasn't using air tools or a breaker bar the bolts were just that bad. how can I get this pump off now. I know I am going to have to drill and re tap but I have no clue how deep the holes are in the block. Figured I would try this and see if anyone knows someone or someplace that has a 87-and up GT. I have up to 5k to spend. Manual trans only, no convertibles, mod list needs to be low.
