  1. This is why I'm glad that my house on campus has a private lot in the back just for our house. Since it's just us, there is no towing contract for it. If we see a car that isn't ours, then we can call a tow truck if we want, but I'll usually wait a while in case it's someone who was just leaving it there for a few minutes. But yes, towing companies could care less about if you're parked in a legal spot or not, especially those working on commission. I'm lucky enough to have never dealt with any of these crooks.
  2. It's a shame the miata is so low to the ground. I'd love to go out and spin that one wheel around in the dirt.
  3. Damn only 13. But yea, backgrounds are easier to differentiate than the cars themselves. Every time a new GT comes out, it's always unbelievable, but just think about how it will look 10 years from now...
  4. Damn Nick that's awful. After hearing about that I don't feel so bad about having my window smashed in because someone wanted my CD player (which they couldn't get out anyways). Hopefully you can get it all fixed up without any problems. If you're ever down in Columbus and need some help let me know.
  5. I think I laughed for at least 3 straight minutes after I heard that line. Unbelievable that after this many seasons, they can still come out with great episodes.
  6. Very well put. When you drive something that is as well-built and engineered like a Porsche (or almost any German car it seems), you will understand it's not all about the power. It's the perfect balance of handling, speed, interior quality, and styling that make it a level above almost anything else you can buy. And when you put it all together, the price seems a lot more reasonable. But I'll still never be able to afford it
  7. I tried avoiding songs that were suspected to be on the new album. Except for Videotape, that song is just amazing.
  8. Only 10 megs left, I clicked as soon as I got the e-mail to beat the rush. Getting about 200 kb/s download right now. I'm going to wait until tomorrow night so I can give it a proper listen. Ok maybe I'll just listen to one song
  9. What's sad is that I don't even own one, I've just heard about the ring of death from so many people who have them. But hey, this is a Microsoft product after all
  10. Most likely not good, here is the Microsoft support page for it: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/907534
  11. Sweet mother of pwn that was awesome.

    Tribe

I had to delay all school related work until we won because I couldn't take my eyes off the game. It's Tribe Time!
  13. Well I counted shocks as major maintenance, although I guess it's not that major. But that just leaves the clutch that we replaced around 50000, and might need it again already (stupid glazing ). Everytime I think to myself how nice it would be to have a built, quick car, I remind myself how reliable the car is right now, and I'd just rather not mess with a good thing .
  14. +1 My car probably has less than 100 rwhp, but I can count on one hand the number of times I've had to do major maintenance and still have 3 fingers left over.
  15. I guess what I don't understand is why this is so much worse then going into the store and stealing two albums. If you do that, you'll most likely just get a fine, and there is no way in hell it's going to be 220,000 dollars. So what's with the huge difference in punishment here? In no way am I saying that she didn't deserve some kind of punishment, but this is beyond the point of punishment. This is about the record companies making back the money that they are losing because bands are learning how to release their music without the help of big record companies (see Radiohead).
  16. Agreed. The only energy drink I can sort of enjoy is Amp, and that's only because it tastes more like Mountain Dew and less like a can of liquid sour patch kids. I'll have to try this stuff sometime, I always liked the Starbuck's stuff that comes in the little glass bottle.
  17. Damn, quite a step up from the Miata. Looks nice though, hope you have fun with it.
  18. http://smiliesftw.com/x/greddygreddy.gif I think we need this one.
  19. Cool I'll let you know. I think I can stuff it in the passenger seat of the Miata though, nice thing about it being from a Mini is the fact that it isn't very long. Over the years I've found ways of fitting things in that car that would surprise you.
  20. Check the fuse that runs your blower motor. If it's shot, replace it. If you try running the fan and it blows another fuse, then the fan has probably seized up or the motor is shot. Happened on my Jeep a couple years ago. And I feel you on the paint oxidation problem. My Miata has it bad on the front bumper, and it's too the point where I can't even polish it out because it's just taking the little paint that is there off the bumper. But try some rubbing compound on the oxidized parts, then wax it. Repeat until satisfied
  21. And this is exactly why I always wait for responses before clicking on links on this forum. I'm pretty sure this video has made it's way around every forum I'm on, and every time I wait until someone says what it is. Never seen it, never plan on it either.
  22. Good choice! I miss the one my dad had when they first came out in 2002. They really do handle like they're glued to the pavement, just gotta watch out for that torque steer, especially after switching from the Miata. By the way, if you are thinking about getting a cat-back, my dad still has the Borla system that he bought for his in the shed, if you are interested shoot me a PM. It's in Cleveland but I could figure out a way to bring it back with me next time I go home.
  23. Still have the TV? If so I can come get it tomorrow afternoon, please let me know.
  24. If you want a real kick, try some of the Frank's Xtra Hot next time you're at the store. It makes the regular stuff seem like mild sauce.
