After speaking with the state fire marshal he has informed me of there being no state fire code about having a bicycling in any college dorm. Now I need to contact the local fire chief to see if they have any regulations against it.

So a bike is a fire hazard since my room is smaller than the other buildings rooms. The insanity of that just boggles my mind. I am going to figure out how the hell thats possible. I dont care if i have to call the damn fire department.

Once per quarter and had i known it was and issue i would have taken it out because they do tell us when they are checking. As far as on the wall i have no idea. I will be asking that when i talk to this guy in charge.

So today we had health and safety inspections of our rooms. They say that me having my road bike stuffed under my bed is a safety violation. I refuse to leave an $800 bike sit outside in the weather with some lock that could be easily cut. What really gets me is one of the other dorm halls on campus is allowed to have them in their rooms. I have already emailed the person in charge to get a time to meet with him about this issue. What approach should i take to getting this resolved?

I see no difference. I also do not understand cutting springs. Do it right or don't do it.

That could help as well. That seat i have hasnt bent yet in 2 years but it also had replaceable rails if i ever do bend it.

Just an FYI to anybody interested when i was a student they said that to use a ticket you had to have and ID but it didnt have to be you on the ID and I never got my ID checked and neither did my dad when i took him using a student ticket.

They are usually chromoly or steel so that should be fine. I would say to look at a more jumping or downhill seat. I have that bontager earl and it has an 8mm rail. Look for something like that with a thicker seat rail.

Derailleur hanger. Snapped it in half when i fell off a skinny board and landed right on the chain tensioner.

No problem. I ended up breaking my bike around 8 and calling it a night. Got jerked around by eddys bike shop (fuck them i will never go back) and got it fixed this morning and rode today until 530. X2 on more people. Even if you dont have a bike come anyways and rent one. Its a blast!
