I guess im really trying to ask is if anyone knows the difference between an IFD Filter and a Hepa Filter. I have been trying to find that information but unable to come up with it.

ionizers are usually bad in the fact that there is usually more bacteria and mold in your house than there was before you started using the ionizer. An Ozone shock treatment thing is better from what i have read.

Does anyone have any insightful information on Ionizers vs hepa filters. I am trying to figure out what i can use to make my apartment smell better. What i have found out so far is that an ionizer will put out a nice fresh smell, by negatively charging the area. The downside is it doesnt really kill the mold and mildew> the negative ions clings to whatever is postively charged. ie..floors and ceilings, and walls.
