I'm not too hung up on the appreciation/depreciation. I'm not making any money off the GTO based on what I've invested over the last 10 years. And its getting to a point where I need to drop some serious coin to get it to a place I'd be happy with it (ie full frame off).

 

Concerned more about whether or not a Stingray is a good boat vs some other brands.

I have a guy that may be interested in trading his 2011 Stingray 185 LX for my 1970 GTO. I've considered some go fast boats but not sure its a wise idea for a first boat. Thoughts on Stingray? I like that a dealer is a few miles from my house...;-)

After spending about an hour (or two) a day looking on http://www.searchtempest.com I joined the Checkmate forum. Someone had posted an ebay link to the boat which, happened to be located in Cleveland. After the boat didn't sell on ebay twice, I called the owner (Kenny) and a few days later I went to look at the boat after negotiating price. I took the boat out on Erie, fell in love with it and took it home that day.

 

I was really upset about missing out on a 29 ft Scarab but after finding this boat and what I paid, I could not be happier.

One of my favorite vehicles was my GMC Envoy XL. Not sure you could find a very low mile example but nice pulling capacity and 3 rows. Otherwise I'd go with a Pilot, don't they have 3 rows?
