We're talking lowball here, but $30 I come pick it up? This thing is nicer than I need .
-
That's close to what I'm looking for, although a little nicer/pricier than I need. Thanks for the link though.

I guess visor, I'd like to not have my face visible. Even if it's a clear visor though, I could throw some cheap tint on it if I buy one....

Looking for a helmet, doesn't have to be certified or anything. Can be scuffed, but I'd like a visor. Let me know what you have. I would also just borrow one if somebody is offering, as long as it's not in great shape. I don't want to risk messing up a decent one. Thanks.

CVS on high street had it yet. I imagine it's being pushed pretty heavily for its introduction. I liked it.

This thread is lolz, and it sounds like this guy was something of a dumbass. I have an NA 3000gt and they're really not all that heavy. The TT cars give them all that reputation, as they are just shy of 4,000lbs, but my car is 3,350ish. Depending on the model, this kids car could have been an SOHC base model, and it kind of sounds that way. They are true dogs ,although you can't kill them, they only make 160 crank hp. The DOHC motors make 220ish. As far as a supercharger, only a few guys have done it, because all the VR-4 turbo goodies bolt right on for the most part. Those that have generally don't make very good numbers anyway when compared to an equal cost/effort turbo setup. Also, nobody makes a bolt on supercharger kit or manifolds to support it, so the kid is either full of shit or hasn't looked into it much. I believe the company that used to make a kit using the GTP superchargers, the M90 or whatever it was, but they've gone away because there never really was a market for the platform.

I too have considered doing something like this for my parents. Hopefully I'll be able to afford it not too long after I graduate. Sounds like you and I are in a similar situation.
-
If you'd be interested in a bone stock 99 with low miles I have a buddy who'd probably sell his. The car is mint and I believe he has a procharger for it that he's never installed. The car is red.

Bump for some nice wheels, and a cool little truck. I'd like to have a 5spd ranger as a daily.

I vote sunday afternoon/evening, while there's still plenty of daylight. There are plenty of others who could too, but I'll bring my "giant" camera and a tripod for mid-flight pics .

Indeed, THAT car. Rep added, welcome sir!

This simply will not do. Please try again.

I swear I flash my lights at retards around campus with their lights out and they just flash them back at me. I may start carrying a brick in my passenger seat for such future encounters.

Help me out: Tire sizing and odometer question...99% sure of myself.
spankis replied to spankis's topic in Passing Lane
Larger tires = less miles shown than actually driven, not less miles driven. One rotation of the axle takes the car noticeably further distance with even a slightly larger tire. The odometer/speedometer don't know the tires on the car are a different size than stock. So, do I send a PM to the mod of the Classifieds forum or drop it? The dude does seem like a real doucher. -

http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p400/n0gamez/350z/1.jpg They're Axis 19s, not huge, but bigger than stock definitely. Exactly, it just seems obvious. Seems like the kid is a gigantic retard or is intentionally misleading/hiding something. Clearly he's not trying to understand. -
So, this kid on 3si.org is trying to trade his 03 350z for a 98 or 99 3000gt VR-4. He posts a thread about the car he has to trade with tons of pictures, blah blah blah. Well, in the description, it says this: "The car has 79,800 miles.. but the tires are oversized causing the mileage to add up faster then it should.. It probably really only have 59,500 miles on it because of that. Needs to be calibrated." So I posted this: "Beautiful car sir, but as for the mileage discrepancy, oversized tires would actually cause your odometer to underestimate the true distance your car has traveled. This would mean the the car actually has more miles than the odometer indicates. An oversized tire travels more distance in a single rotation than a smaller, stock-sized tire. FYI." He responded with this: "Your wrong about that, the tires cause the speedo to say I'm going faster then I'm actually going. So to go 60mph I have to go 64mph on the digital speedo. Thats adding 4 miles to every 60 miles to my odometer. Ive had a Sheriff come over and test it with his radar gun. Every 60 miles I go 4 miles is added to the car... It can be calibrated, I just haven't done it. anyway, I dont want the thread blown up about that lol." I was reading this thread at around 1am, and I was tired. I figured, hey maybe I'm wrong, so I let it go at that. I noticed the thread again the next day, and thought it through again. I'm still pretty much completely certain that the kid's logic is backwards. I sent him a PM, basically further explaining what I thought to be true in great detail, and linked him to another site explaining the sizing/odometer correlation. I was very polite, never called him a retard or suggested any intentional misleading. I didn't want to shit in his for sale thread or anything. He replied with this: "that link actually shows opposite of what happens with my car. Ive had a sheriff come over and test me speeds, like I stated in my post if my speedo says 64 I'm actually going 60.. so that adds 4 miles every 60 miles. I dont know if its different with digital read speedos, but Ive had it tested. Every time I go by one of those speed checkers on the side of the road, it always shows me going slower. So the case with my car may be different I dont know, but if anyone wants to ride with me and go by a speed indicator they are more then welcome. Thanks for not posting it in the thread tho, id hate to ruin the post with petty arguments :)" ....Yea thanks bud, "petty argument", unless you're the uninformed guy buying your car..... So am I right, or am I wrong here? I should probably just drop it, but whatever. I know how most speedometers and odometers work, and by that logic I believe I'm correct, but does a 350z use some foreign system I'm not familiar with? Long post I know, but if you made it this far you probably have some time to kill

You know, when I replaced my front calipers earlier this year, one of the new ones came with the bracket, and one didn't. Both were the same part #. Maybe this is a common issue, and the guy in the reman factory just sprinkles the extra brackets around at random .

Nice Watch indeed sir. With all the knowledge in this thread, how is my Seiko Kinetic? I like it a lot and wear it frequently, it was a high school graduation gift from my grandma . I've been considering a "watch turner" of some kind to keep it charged well. I don't wear it a lot to class, which is what i'll be doing all winter. I've read good and bad things about them?

I spoke to the guy from work I posted about. Sounds like he may be interested. His car is a stick, as you mentioned, and is bone stock. If you'd like to PM me your number I can give it to him.

A guy at work has a really really clean 00ish GT he might trade. Says he seldom drives it. I'll pass it along.

Fuck parking at CSCC, and Cell Phones in the library.
spankis replied to neonkiller's topic in Dumpster
The Delaware building is nice, but isn't that big. The company I intern with has a contract with them for the HVAC controls. I carried a 12 foot ladder all over it for a couple days earlier this summer setting up ceiling-mounted air-flow boxes, so I became pretty familiar with it. This was before the steel staircases were in...try carrying a ladder up a ladder some time There will be a shit-ton of parking there though, I will give it that . -

I'm at OSU, but I'm taking a Monday/Wednesday evening chem class at CSCC this quarter too. Parking is absolutely ridiculous. I arrived at 5:52 yesterday for my 6:00 class, and I wasn't parked until 6:24....pretty reasonable right? I actually look forward to some good snowfall, because then I park on top of the giant snow plow piles in the truck that most people can't get on/off of . I too would enjoy a parking solution, if there is a secret. -
Can't remember the justification, but on Mitsu MAFs it hurts more than it helps.

Yea, this guy ( or another guy with the same name and same EXACT thread ) joined 3si.org yesterday and posted the same shit. BAN BAN BAN BAN BAN.
