Not to hijack your thread, but I have a new set of cobalt front control arms in my garage still in the plastic. I no longer own the car, and would be glad to donate these to somebody who can use them, just to get them out of the garage. Wife had an 07 Cobalt SS 2.4 NA 2 door, so they would have fit that car. Was the FE3 suspension if I recall, so they're aluminum arms. PM me if interested.

If you want the business of people who have chosen to lower their personal risk by being vaccinated (or the ownership/staff has chosen to do so), then it's logical to limit traffic from folks who serve to increase risk of exposure. Seems totally ok given that effectively the full public is at an equal opportunity to be vaccinated. Eating with my at-risk wife next to Mr. And Mrs. Itsacold doesn't sit well with me.

Was there a global eye of scrutiny on Prilosec or talcum powder research? I don't recall myself, it's been a while, ya know? Remember back when seatbelts weren't a thing, and for a a short time folks suggested they were unsafe because they kept you from being safely "thrown clear of the vehicle" lol. Turns out that's not a thing, research shows they were overwhelmingly correct in asserting their safety. If you'd prefer to only hear from scentists that stick to their initial finding only, regardless of new information, I'm sure there are one or two of those out there. I personally would prefer not to be fed the old proven inaccurate info when new information comes to light. I also have a hard time maintaining respect for folks that lean into that old info purely because it serves to support the reity they would prefer.

Folks who are qualified to analyze the potential side affects of an mrna vaccine understand this isn't a valid concern. There is much research to support th fact that viable side affects are going to be identified within an approximately ~ 6 week timeline. I choose to believe them, given their level of expertise versus my own. You don't have to cherry pick these conclusions from a single source, there is consensus here. I did a major senior project on photovoltaics in college, when the technology was rapidly changing. I made some conclusions based in where I saw solar panel technogy going in my closing statements, and had to field questions from students and faculty present afterwards. One professor asked "What makes you confident that this where the technology is headed", my response then was "Mainly because this opinion is widely held by scientists in the field with many more years of research and expertise than myself as a 5 year student." My attitude remains the same today.

Has there not been enough "time" to research the vaccines, or has there been such an abundance of resources poured into that research process (given the global need) that it's been executed faster than typical? Typical commentary by goobers to the above question: - "Yea it's all the resources that concern me! It's fishy, corrupt, etc." - "How long did it take for other vaccines to get approved though, longer right? Really makes you think, etc." - "It's experimental though, they haven't done the testing the right way." It's like beating your head into the wall when you ask people to support the claims above. In my experience, you end up with an overall conclusion along the lines of "I dunno, my gut just tells me"... Cool deal, I'm confident the folks actually doing the good science are basing their conclusions and recommendations on more than their gut. Then I'll get responses like: -"Yea Pfizer is buying their way into the scientists pockets, because they know all the money they'll make with more approvals" -"Yea it's the deep state, lefties, etc. Trying to make Trump and red states with few restrictions look bad, they want to kill the economy to prove a point, etc." The other exceptionally irritating thing I keep hearing, even from dumbass members of my own family, is this shift toward now justifying "natural immunity", as referenced by the CDC. Some dummies misunderstand this to mean immunity you get from eating your veggies, doing water aerobics, and using the best witch oils. Others actually understand this is referring to the immunity one has with natural antibodies gained after a Covid infection. I have several acquaintances who refused the vaccine, to no one's surprise contracted Covid, and are now occupying the "high ground" of having the "best immunity", better than any vaccine. The BS reasoning against the vaccine they were previously peddling is no longer top of the heap to draw from, they just default to the "I'm good, read what the CDC says" while simultaneously ignoring the majority of the what the CDC has published. It's all fucking tiring, and it leaves me more disgusted than I've ever been in my life.

My buddy in Grove City would like an RV, as he tent camps a bunch already. Their HOA won't let him park it in the driveway or on the street beyond like 12 hours. That makes the proposition for owning one include picking it up from whatever storage place same day, loading it that day and leaving with it that same day. Same when he comes home from a trip, as it can't be there overnight to unload and clean it the following morning. It just becomes impractical to even own one where he lives. He's presently considering a high top long wheelbase ford transit RV conversion, as apparently vans without company markings or ladder racks are specifically allowed and can be parked indefinitely like any other car. Crazy shit. Same guy bought their house with full intentions of FINALLY parking his truck in the garage... He never measured before signing the paperwork, and his truck is like 2 inches too long to close the door. I was helping him move in when he made THAT discovery, and I thought he might cry lol.

Man, I don't smoke anything or even own a smoker, but my house sits in the middle of a healthy stand of mature shagbark and shellbark hickories. I've got a good supply of twigs/limbs, and of course a seasonal pile of hickory nuts. Should I start smoking? LOL

Tractor Supply in Pickerington. I typically take two 5 gallon buckets at a time with no issues. Typically I go to the Lancaster location but have used the Pickerington one in the past. They will have you drive around back if you let them know.

I have two 9mm M&P guns and they've been super solid. Dad's .45 too from what he has shared. I don't let them get dirty, fwiw. I guess I don't understand how that logic can be applied to anything really. I struggle with "these haven't worked, so the next one won't either". I guess, suggest what WILL work then, rather than just sharing your skepticism that the next one won't. Too many gun guys out there seem to have this just stop trying attitude, and its just very bullshit. There are many on the pro gun side that view even HAVING conversations regarding gun control/regulation/risk mitigation strategies to be somehow "keeping the door open" to taking their guns, minimizing 2A rights, etc., etc. - There is a right answer, you just have to be open to finding it rather than shutting it down before at the opening of discussion. I would be interested to get Joe's (Mojoe's) perspective too.

I consider myself a liberal gun owner, ccw holder, etc. and I agree with effectively every point made in here so far regarding gun control. As I've said before, "we can't let the perfect be the enemy of the good". IE, we shouldn't use the absence of a perfect solution as a reason to do nothing. I think assault rifle/magazine bans are ineffective, as I can realistically do as much damage with a 12 gauge and a couple pistols as one guy with an AR if I'm hell-bent on being crazy guy. I have always felt that a couple extra steps in the gun purchase process wouldn't be a problem for me. In some instances making it a little tougher wouldn't be bad thing and would represent a relatively easy low-hanging fruit type step. There is no easy answer, but that doesn't mean no action is the right action. You can throw life vests to everybody when the ship is sinking, and you'll still have a few people bitching because they aren't their size.

I continue to be amazed at just how effective propaganda is.
