  1. How much are you looking to spend? I have an extra Matco box I wouldnt mind getting rid of in my home garage. I dont remember off the top of my head what series it is but it is a black 56" wide x 24" deep x 42" tall 11 drawer box. I want to say it is a Pro Performance Series box.
  2. Cool car. Congrats on the new purchase!
  3. okay, should be clear now
  4. Your inbox is full...
  5. Thanks Brian. I appreciate the support and your friendship. Glad to see you happy with your results!
  6. I would say it all comes down to how much power he wants and how far he wants to push to the edge. If he is wanting to go supercharger, the Roush blower is a great blower and you do have the option of keeping the factory warranty as long as it is installed by an authorized Roush dealer, which in Columbus is either us or Krieger iirc. Roush charges a $300 fee to retain the warranty and it is handled by Roush from there on out. You do have to run their tune to keep the warranty. There is usually plenty of power left on the table with the Roush tune. For example, a Stage 3 (which they rate at 575hp) will usually make 490-510 rwhp. With a cai upgrade and tune, we typically see about 80-90 hp gains which is plenty for the stock bottom end in my opinion. Aside from that, a clutch upgrade will probably be needed if he plans to run it very hard and depending on how far he would want to push it, billet oil pump gears also become a good idea. If he is wanting to stay naturally aspirated, a tune and maybe gears (depending on what is in it currently) is about all I would do. The stock airbox flows really well, so there is minimal gain with a cai. There is a tad with an offroad x or h but again, not enough to justify cost in my opinion. Everyone likes to bring up the trans. There certainly has been some issues but no where near as many as everyone would have you believe. I wouldnt worry about it too much. We do a ton of these cars and havent had any trans issues other than some stock clutch failures. Ive also beat the living daylights out of our test car. I broke the driveshaft, the limited slip, and seperated the stock clutch from the pressure plate. The trans still works perfectly fine. The biggest issue really is the clutch not disengaging at high rpm. As power comes in harder, the issue becomes more pronounced. Upgrade the clutch and that becomes a non issue.
  7. Autolite ht1's are 2 piece plugs still. Ford changed the head design mid year 07 to accomodate a smaller one piece 12mm plug but everything 05-07 1/2 still had 2 piece plugs. The only one piece options out there for those motors are brisk or champion.
  8. Congrats on the runs Rocky. That thing moves as does TurboNova's car. The Challenger did make 510 on our dyno on a cooled down glory pull. The owner is a really nice guy and the car is on street tires. It is a 6 spd manual car and makes instant tq so launching it is sort of tricky. Most of the 60's times he was pulling were in the 2.3-2.38 range. I took it down the track once and on a 2.25 60' went 13.2x in the 112 range. On a set of tires, it would be a 12 second car easily. With a few more passes in it, I could have had it in the 12's on the street tires. The mph is lower than what I would have expected on the street tires. We just did a 6.1 auto car with the same blower that made similar power and went 12.04@120.7 on street tires. Unfortunately I didnt have any logging equipment with me to get a log of the car down the track. The car was on e with the fuel light on. I would have liked to have logged it going down the track to see what was happening with temps, if there was any kr, etc.. Unfortunately I did not bring any datalogging equipment to log the car with. I was out there to help Chad from On3 with his twin turbo 5.0. On his base 6 psi kit for the 5.0 , his car went 10.73@131.
  9. Congrats Jim. Glad you found something!
  10. That was an 08 Saleen. I wont go into all of the details on that car but Im the one that actually tuned it.
  11. No problem Chad. It is definitely a 2 way street. I appreciate your patience on getting some of the cars in during the times that I am hammered. It is a 1972 International Scout. It has sort of been a long term project that we have been working on for a while. Basically it came from California with the original motor and 4 speed manual transmission. It was red and rust... Someone had attempted a restoration previously but failed to fix several things. The frame was diamoned, someone had welded new leaf springs in but they were not the correct springs and they were not in the correct locations, etc...The lady that owned it didnt know how to drive a stick so an auto was discussed. That then progressed where it currently sits which is with a 5.3 Chevy motor/4l60e trans combo ran off of an 03 Suburban pcm. It has full heat/ac, Snakeskin leather interior, full Pioneer/JL audio sound system and a few other comfort type of items. The truck is fully driveable right now. Currently it just needs a few minor 'attention to detail' type of items taken care of and it should be finished up. Thanks Paul. I appreciate it.
  12. Wow! Sorry to hear this. I wish your family the best in finding her and my thoughts and prayers are with you.
  13. Thanks for the nice comments guys. I appreciate it! 2012 will definitely go down as a successful year and we have a few projects going on currently that should ensure 2013 is a success as well!
