Get ahold of @RS69 his wife is an attorney. She did my parents will/estate and they've been quite pleased dealing with her.

Long time member of CR and apparently at some point a member of OR.
I used to have a pretty cool 92 S10 that someone decided they liked more than me and stole out of storage last March. So I don't publicly have anything cool at the moment.
Looking forward to bickering with even more old fucks now.

Well this is glorious! Now I just need my other account deleted and my username reset to Nickey427. If someone can make that happen? Or if they can be merged?

Is that the guy where Phil banged his lady?
Nah that's the dipshit with the twin turbo C6. Ended up going to jail for assaulting a sheriff iirc.

Almost 15 years here for me. I wouldn't trade CR for anything.
-
I'll be there, looking forward to seeing more CR people again.

Cost of goods are going to skyrocket with if this actually passes.

Holy shit, we need to give some of you a character limit.

Hope none of you have a side hustle that you don't pay tax on.
Sleep Joe is pushing for banks to report any account with a in/out flow of more than $600 annually, so the ole' IRS can make sure they get their cut.
Can we all take a break from vax/non-vax and fling shit at each other over this for a bit please?
Apparently no one actually cares
TL;DR fuck the IRS

There's a show at the big walnut grille in Sunbury on Saturday.

Will be asking $8k elsewhere, CR price is $6900 obo
Selling for a friend of mine.
1999 Toyota 4runner. 215k miles.
4wd, factory locking rear diff! Factory sport hood, tan interior that looks incredibly nice for the mileage. Power steering, power brakes, power windows (front’s are auto up and down), power rear hatch window.
Toytec/Rough Country lift, BFGoodrich AT tires. Alpine head unit, speakers, and shallow mount sub underneath the drivers seat. CB radio with gear keep for the mic. PIAA front lights on “custom” along with LED ditch lights. AEM air intake. Snorkel (needs factory intake to be functional) Husky Liner Floormats front and rear. Scangauge II for monitoring. 4th gen 4runner rear view mirror with compass and outside temp. Nice big roof rack.
At 195K miles the following work was done.
Timing belt and water pump service
New outer tie rods
Lower ball joints
New fuel filter, spark plugs and wires
New radiator and new radiator hoses.
New big transmission cooler
The bad: check engine light (needs o2 sensor), abs light (needs wheel speed sensor), and lastly the diff lock doesn’t work due to not being used in a number of years. Common issues just don’t have time to fix it currently.

Soooo tempting. But what to bring? I've got nothing that would remotely appeal to a Corvette/hot rod audience.
I vote you bring whatever tickles your fancy tomorrow morning.

Ordered one because why not
How bad of an idea is it to sub in a quart of this each oil change on a car that takes 5w-30?
I wouldn't. Not a fan of mixing viscosities, also the VR-1 has almost zero detergents in it.

For anyone interested in parking with a group of us. We're meeting at the staging park lot here at 10am or a little earlier. So that when gates open at 11 we can get in and get parked as a group.

Less than a week away, looking forward to seeing some of you there!

Seemed like a really good turnout, I had heard a lot of people expecting low numbers. I Know the spectator lots were as full as I've ever seen.

I'm not sure good guys/state fair grounds expected as many bodies as were there. There was a total lack of food vendors this year compared to previous years.

My wife owns Penn Detail in Gahanna.
I'll vouch for Penn Detail, I've never used them but have seen plenty of their work.

August 7, 2021 at Creekside in Gahanna.
Vettes, Rods and Classics. Not just a corvette show.
Capital City Corvette Club donates over $15,000 to Nationwide Childrens and a lot of it comes from this show.
For those that don't know, my parent's help organize this show. They've gone to great lengths to make this a better show by not playing more modern music but making sure the "rods" category takes home 50% of the award even though they make up less than 50% of the field usually. Bikes are welcome, they will be put into the "rods" category and judged along side cars:
Feel free to ask any questions.

There are a bunch of articles out there about the Apple Airtag. It was (not so) surprising to see how well the coverage is, I mean there are iPhones everywhere.
Aside from that, if you want commercial I can make a few suggestions but they aren't super cheap as they are built for reliability.
Airtag sounded great till it shows iPhone users it's following them if it's not their airtag.
I'd be interested in commercial solutions, as they're likely cheaper than replacing a vehicle.

I think I misphrased, I meant 4g based not necessarily cellphone based. I see some the hardwired ones will last 1-3 months without an external battery source.
-
Talk to me about hardwired GPS units for asset tracking. 4G signal based seems to the way to go. Pricing for the unit itself seems to be all over the place as does the cost of the service plan. Trying to figure out something sooner rather than later hopefully.
