My S10 is in the process of getting new brakes. It'll still be slow, but at least it should stop better.

Sucks that everyone in the national media sans Tampa is saying it's because Tampa didn't show up, not that CBJ actually out played the winners of the Presidents Trophy.

We do timing cover reseals, chains, PS pressure lines, rack & pinion, and front struts galore on the traverse/acadia/enclave. If not an SUV, it's normally just chains and timing cover leaks. I seem to remember some of the 3.6 having porous heads that let oil into the spark plug holes and cause misfire issues.

Are there specific combos that had trailing arms, or all 62-72? I Definitely want coils on all 4.

 

 

Just depends on how the truck was optioned. On Chevy's coil spring rear suspension was standard with leafs being optional, there for coils are fairly common on the chevy trucks. On GMC it was the opposite of that, so it's a little harder to find coil springs on a GMC.

60-72 C10 chassis with trailing arms will be the best factory suspension setup of any truck even through modern times. Easy to convert to coilover in the rear if desired or air. The front suspension is easy enough to update with tons of compete kits being out there now. That would be my pick.

I use Schaeffer's in everything I own. Nice mahle based lubricants.

I would do a 2/3 drop. Use Belltech front spindles and a Belltech shackle kit or Belltech drop springs in the rear.

 

Only downfall of the spindles is that they require the use of 17" wheels at a minimum.
