    look for headers with small tube diameters, they'll work to your advantage with a stock/few bolt-ons motor. Just from looking at summits website, flowtechs are going to be the cheapest, and they're long tube headers. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BIG-11508FLT/ They also already have 2.5" collectors on them, which is nice. Because a nice single 2.5" exhaust, is the absolute max size i would run on that truck.

    I think any sub 13 sec, with good to perfect street manners is very respectable. Thats why I like dads truck, has perfect street manners, you can fill up on 93, still drivable in the rain, and if it could actually hook it'd run mid to low 12s.

    I have a 1987 chevy V10(K10) long bed 4x4. It' has a tbi 305 backed by a 700r4. Last time I checked the truck has 156 or 157k on the odometer. Has autolocking hubs. No a/c. Does have power steering and power brakes. Heat and 4wd work awesome! Comes with a camper shell and gun rack in the back window. Only things wrongs with it, is that it leaks a little oil at the rear main, it's rusty (but trusty). Would be an awesome winter daily.
