No optics needed at that price, I realize that would most likely compromise on both the build and the optics if that was the case. That is part of why I want a long barrel. The other reason being that I just love the look of a long barrel AR.

Been kicking around the idea of getting an AR for awhile. Looking to piece one together. Still working on getting educated on them. That said, I'd like to know what you guys would build on a $1200 budget. Only requirements I have is a 20-24" barrel and bi-pod be included. Thanks!
