Great addition to the stable, it's tough to beat the Tahoe/Burb/Yukon for a family hauler. Looks very clean, and tough to find one that vintage with only 75k.

I'm sure you got it for a steal, working at the dealership.

Don't know if I'd call it a steal. A little under market value but I could only finance for 48 months. Payments are a little higher than I wanted but couldn't pass it up

  2. The 02 Yukon Xl has been on it's way out for a while. The transmission has been slowly developing issues and had existing issues I didn't care to fix so it came time to look for a new vehicle.

Initially I was looking for a newer impala or lacrosse do to 3 kids in car seats and wanting a car. However I couldn't pass up this yukon when it came in. 2010 yukon SLT 5.3L 4wd with 72k miles. Its loaded with black leather interior, Bose and sunroof. It also has 2nd row bench which I wanted so all three kids are in teaching distance. Its spotless inside and out, refused to let the detail department touch it when I got it . Also managed to snag a set of take-off wheels and tires from a 0 mile 2019 Silverado with Michelin primacy Ltx tires. Only issue is I gotta swap TPMS sensors due to frequency change.

Had AFM disabled within 24 hours. aiTKDHPl.jpg

  3. Update time

After 3 hours on the phone it should be squared away. for some reason it never even made it to the determination stage. the lady i spoke with got everything taken care of and pushed it through to the final determination stage. Now i just have to play the waiting game. There were multiple issues for some reason and she couldn't even tell me why some of the information was an issue. hopefully this gets it all taken care of.

  4. Shit isn't stupid with me: payments have been semi-regular (a weekday or two apart for each week with average of Wednesday), website works just fine, phone was a longer wait, but no big deal (I was able to reset PIN and to initiate benefits on the phone assisted by a clerk).

It's wearing me out. I did everything online initially (as i always do). Not sure if I mistypes something or what but it's been nuts. I'm currently on hold with them now. Both people i've spoken with have not been sure what's going on. The second lady rather than emailing their support center transferred me to them so I can speak directly. I'm hoping this takes care of it. I've never had to claim unemployment in my life and hope i never have to again after this fiasco

  5. Anybody else dealing with this stupid shit? Been temporarily laid off since April 6th. Have yet to get my claim approved. Keep getting a notice that information is needed/missing. unable to get into the full claim on the website after its submitted to see what's missing or incorrect. Spent 2 hours on the phone the other day and was supposed to have been straightened out. Received the same message yesterday that information was still missing. Been trying to contact them for the last hour today so far and haven't even gotten to the hold menu.

Luckily we've had some money held back so we aren't hurting financially yet but money is starting to run low. I have my return date set form Monday the 4th and my worry is that if i don't get this squared by then I won't be eligible for retro pay back to April 6th when i started unemployment.

  6. If tezos went down to $2.25 i think it’s a good one , if LTC goes down to under $60 it long term has always been a good one also to check out

Just bought more today a $1.62. Watched my portfolio cut to less than half in the last few weeks. Good thing I'm in it for the long haul

  7. Why toilet papers?

People are fucking stupid. Had to make a run to kroger yesterday for toilet paper. Maybe 10 packs left on both shelves. Took 1 pack and was on my merry way. If It comes down to it I'll shit in the garden and use leaves. :dumb:

  8. Who’s buying more crypto ??

I just started with bitcoin and tezos. Still a ton to learn and didn't buy much but it's been very interesting to watch the market on them. I plan on just sitting on them

  9. Well here's your snow. Took me an hour to get home from work. Normally takes 25 minutes. Couldn't hardly tough the gas pedal on the way home in the Yukon (2wd). Rear wanted to slide out bad. And a bad ABS module made it fun
  10. Have you talked to ODNR about your options? You may not be able to shoot a gun in city limits, but snaring may be an option. I would post up with a crossbow and just make sure you have good safe background for a shot.

Yeah I need to check with ODNR. last time I saw them I was taking my girls out to the truck. They stood and watched till I got them safely in the truck and started walking toward them. Within about 40 yards.

My only worry about snaring is all the other animals we get that we like. Foxes, coons, opossums and predatory birds.

  11. I have the AntiGravity Micro-start xp10. It has plenty of amperage for just about anything. I've started tons of v8's and a few diesels with it and . And it has an override button as well. The clamp are the downfall although. They're way to light for heavier demands. Ive been through a few sets of clamps due to melting. With heavier duty clamps it would be perfect.

Edit: looks like they sell heavier clamps. I may have to pick some up

  12. Got an 02 yukon and my abs pump is bad so I was really worried about that. I let each line gravity bleed for about 30 minutes at least. Used at least a gallon of brake fluid but the pedal is rock solid. Other way that sometimes works is to get it on a gravel road where you can activate the abs and then rebleed it. But gravity worked great for me. Then finished off with bleeding each wheel
  13. My truck is pretty much sold and I'm looking for an suv. I was thinking about staying with gm but started reading about timing chain issues with the 3.6.

The question is how bad is it and if i were to buy one should I have it replaced?

About how much is it to replace and when do they fail?

Lastly, is there anything else I should worry about??

    Thanks

    mace

Stay away from 09-17 Traverse/acadia/enclave unless you purchase a hell of an extended warranty.

Timing chains stretch, rack&pinion leaks, earlier models had issues with steering pumps, struts and mounts, rear trailing arm bushings, and evaporator cores....Oh and 3-5-r waveplates in the trans.

1 of the few vehicles id be scared to buy with over 100k. 150k is terrifying.

    CORDELL am i missing anything?
