There tinted black but in the direct sunlight you can see where the lenses were originally pulling away from the housing. One of the flaws with that type of tail light.

Don't think mine was originally. At least if it was it didn't stand out that much. It just contrasted way to much in the sunlight. Especially with the colors being that close it just looked weird.
