  3. thanks man. The sad part is, ive already had a 5.3 lsx and almost had an old 350 that were supposed to in the car. But due to my dad not wanting either of them in HIS garage, i have neither now lol. But its ok, i have other plans that will make short work of his stang (not saying what though lol). but deffinately let us know when you get this evo, id always see the scoobie down by rosehill rd, but always goin the other direction lol.

  6. to sort of awnser your question with a question, Why mod a car if your not going to do anything with it? especially a car like you have. you have a honda that gets 35 mpg stock, but you want to mod it, lose some of that fuel efficiency, for no reason?

  9. wagner, im tryin to do this on the cheap lol im gonna try to get a stock style one to work first lol. Chad, i was going to, but i picked this motor and a turbo 400 trans up for 250 bucks. The motor just needs heads and intake, but ran low 12's in my dads buddies car.
  10. i picked up a gen 1 350 off a friend that im going to be attempting to put in the bird. It will be carbed, so no computers. What all will be involved in this swap? Will my V6 front k member work or will i need to find one from an LT1 car? What will i need to do to get the distibuter to fit, if anything?
  11. im agreeing that they can go either way. Ive seen both. I got pulled over in pataskala for doing almost 60 in a 35. I got a ticket, but the cop was nice about it lol. Ive also got pulled over and screamed at by a statey because i accidentally chriped my tires. the sad part is, ive also seen paramedics be complete dicks to. I hit a deer in my firebird one night (so i was already beyond pissed) and ended up in the ditch on summit road in pataskala. I called my dad to come pull my ass out and about the time we get it hooked up (pulling me out by a chain with my moms trailblazer) the paramedics come flying down the road and cut my dad off as he is pulling me out. He was able to get me out far enough that i could get out of the car but the douches wouldnt move so we could finish. Needless to say i went nuts on there asses lol
  12. the problem is, you cant take those tests seriously. every magazine you will read on these cars will say something different (i.e, the car and driver one says that the SS is good for 13.0 and the GT is good for 13.2). for now, id say its about a draw until some real world numbers really start popping up. i say this simply because as said, every magazine i think i have read has posted different times for all these cars, but going by the fastest one ive read for the stang is a 12.7 (MT), and also according to them, that is 4-5 tenths faster than the camaro and about 6 for the challenger, but yet ive read that the actual record ET's for those 2 cars are like 12.8 and 12.9, which obviously makes it a whole lot closer.
  13. and its not only that. a buddy of mine had a 96? civic that was turboed by slowmotion motorsports. Not sure what all the engine had interal wise, but i know it had been at least rebuilt. they had a good solid car that ran 13's on i believe 7 pounds of boost. they turned it up to like 10 or 12 and popped 2 motors by doing this, and were talking good low mileage motors. if you turbo a stock 177 mile motor on 9-10 pounds, it aint gonna last.
  14. like rob just said, if you want this thing to last, or even run right for that matter, you better do it right the first time. for 1500, your best bet is to get on craigslist and try to find you a lower mileage motor, and a cheap turbo. Just use the remaining money (if any) to put new bearings in the motor. With that you could prolly run 8-9 pounds of boost pretty safely.
  15. ok, but was this pass also made on slicks or just street tires? The point that some people are missing is, these motors are 2 entirely different beasts. comparing a full bolt on, tune and slick stang to an SS with an exaust and street tires just doesnt work. for 1, the mustang has the advantage of having an overhead cam motor which doesnt make power until higher rpm, as compared to the LS3 that makes a crap ton of its torque down low (meaning its a harder car to get a good launch in on street tires) my guess is, even though the camaro is a heavier car, with the same mods to both cars including slicks, they would be just about dead even. the V6 camaro is rated at about 14.2, but ive read some where that there has been a few to run 13.9's stock.

  19. yes i was in my firebird, no its not a bragging thread, just funny since said douche ran his mouth off, then got smoked. Tina, yes it was a younger guy with brown hair. unfortunately i never got a chance to hear his excuses as he ran from me lol
  20. First off, some may remember a thread i made a couple weeks ago about some stupid ricer in a mazda trying to fuck with me on main street in reynoldsburg. After getting a quick little go, i was way ahead of this douche, but he pulled up next to me, 2 lanes over in the turn lane, just to yell that he would smoke me. Fast forward to last night. My uncle is in town and wanted to drive my dads mustang, so we headed out to trails. Not 5 minutes after we get there and are parked, i look over to see that not 30 feet away from me, is that douche and his mazda. Not sure on the year, but it is a mazdaspeed protage, turbo and all. on the outside, the car is stock, except maybe the exaust, not sure. the car also had some pillar gauges, but not sure if those are stock or not. Anyway, at the end of the night, i made a pass and stopped to get my time slip but some one had screwed up so i had to go to the tower to get it. I cruise up and parked in the staging lanes, and ran up to get it. i keep looking out the tower to see if anyone else had come up the street car lanes yet, but no (it was dead there last night). They finally find it and i head back down. Right as soon as i get down, 3 cars pull up, one of which was this douche. They were finishing up running the slick cars, but decided to take the lane, the other street cars were in to. The car infront of the mazda went, but he stopped when he got up next to me and waited lol. As dumb as this all is, it made my day, because as soon as we got to run, i walked right away from him, from beginning to end. i ran a very shitty 14.2, but he ran a 16.5. It made me mad though because i was going to say something to him when he got back to the parking lot (all night he would make 1 run and park for a while), but not he just kept hot lapping the hell out of it, so i never got to rub it in his face lol.
