  1. no i couldnt read the article, my phone sucks and had no access to a computer. Im not saying what gm did isnt completely wrong to. the gas tank problem happend to a few different auto makers over the years. As for personal accountabilty, i completely agree that you should know alot the vehicle you are driving, even before you ever get behind the wheel. The problem is, probably 80 percent of the people that own cars, dont know how to do anything more than start a car and drive it and some dont even care to anymore than that. Which in my opinion should be taken into consideration by all auto makers.
  2. welcome. Clean car. 13.0 is impressive for what little is done to it
  3. WIN! Howard, im not argueing with you there, they have all done some stupid shit in the past, but with the gm thing, im pretty sure they didnt out right lie to the public like toyota has been, which is basically m entire problem with this (correct me if im wrong). I also agree that people should be held some what accountable, but the problem with that is, all cars are different in operation anymore. I.e., alot of cars have push button start now and some cars you can just hit the button and the car dies, but others you have to hold the button for so long before it will. I do agree though that if it uses a key and you cant figure out how to sht it off, theres a problem.
  4. I really dont understand how some one can even attempt to defend toyota right now with all of this crap coming out. For instance, have talked to several people either in person or on other forums that will give you every excuse in the book, hell i even had one person try to say that this just makes them a better company for standing up and taking care of the problem (even though they were forced to after hiding it for almost 4 years. I understand there is the whole brand loyalty thing, but that only goes so far. Im a big gm loyalist, but if they had a problem like this, id never drive another one again. I just dont think i could live with myself if i knowingly continued to drive a car that could become an out of control killing machine randomly.
  5. when i left at about 630, the top 2 cars were the blown camaro and a certain cr members car (they can speak up if they want everyone to know)
  6. those fuckers are gettin bad. I work at the kroger fuel center at taylor and main in reynoldsburg. This is usually a pretty good area but just recently ive had several people ask em if i could "loan" them some gas so they could drive in to get more and pay me, and also had a guy had a guy try to get cigs for cheaper. He brought like pockets full of change. He wanted newports but was about 75 cents short. He sat looking at the cigs for about 10 minutes, then starts begging me to just sell them to him for what he had. And just last week i saw a couple standing out on the corner begging for money.
  7. you do realize there are quite a few camaros that have runs 12's stock right?
  8. read the stickies and try again. As for the car, im pretty sure theres not much of jack or shit you can really do to those cars, so i recommend not wasting the money.
  9. take the paint off of the little panel between the tail lights?
  10. lmfao, guess you wouldnt be getting your car started then
  11. im gonna try to be out, pending on if my car is done or not
  12. welcome. 3800's rock. Very clean car.
  13. i cant read that from my phone (its a piece of shit i know lol), so some one awnser me a question, does it say it if they check the same amount of cars from each manufacturer? Cause if not, that might explain why porsche is on top and why companies like chevy are down (as compared to its lesser selling brands anyway)
  14. thats pretty impressive. Although until i see them popping up at tracks and seeing what they run, im not holding my breath. The 05+ were supposed to run like high 13's stock, but ive never seen a stock one do better than 14.2.
  15. wow, i mean im all for keeping the junk out of the for sale threads, but that is a bit much. If you cant even ask questions like that, whats the point in even having a for sale section?
  16. i see that car (and many others like it) on a daily basis in reynoldsburg. Reynoldsburg=FAIL
  17. i dont know, maybe its just me, but that reminded me of scott and paul...
  18. the car wash you talking it about is right behind a sunoco on the corner of broad and summit. i take my cars down there and wash the engine bay all the time. although im kinda with everyone else on using simple green because, it seems like its hit or miss anymore at that car wash place, as to weather or not the engine cleaner even works (meaning some times its out of it, or it just doesnt spray right) and of course it can get kinda costly at those places. my only other word of advice is, if you have anything that you have painted (I.E., intake manifolds, or anything else that gets pretty warm) dont get the motor hot as it will mess the paint up lol.
  19. im sure it exists! i cought a very quick glimpse of the back end of it as it shot past me on main street one day! lmao.. very nice V though man, cant beat a having a sick looking quick DD.
  20. your mostly right except in the fact that there was no small chance of this coming to light. It was going to happen one way or another. keep in mind that even if all of this wouldnt have happend right now, it would have eventually because they would just keep cutting corners.
