lmao! Thats what i thought to. Some dumb hillbilly that had no idea what he was doing, had deffinately been working on this truck lol. The sad thing is, the truck really is in great shape, its just some one thought it would be funny to put a half assed lift kit, cheap dual exaust system thats rusting out pretty good, and cone K&N air filter (along with the removal of the MAF). which if anyone happens to have a spare one laying around and want to get rid of it for cheap, he would greatly appreciate it lol.

that there are just some people that should not be allowed to do anything but drive a car. My buddy got ahold of me last monday night, asking me to come over and help him with a misfire on his 2000 F-150. now keep in mind, when he bought this truck, it had a 6 inch body lift, in which we realized a few months ago that the front sway bar is not attached to anything, the truck had what sounded like a slight misfire even when he bought it. Well it had gotten worse and he wanted to figure out what was wrong. I had him take the truck to auto zone to have it scanned, and found the cylinder 1 was misfireing. He picked up a new coil and plug and we start taking the other one off. well we get the coild pack unbolted and start to pull it off the plug when he hear a little jingle sound, then saw somethin fall out and land on the intake. Turns out to be a small bolt that had some how managed to get left up in the coil. We checked the coil, it was all rusty up inside it, and the plug was all rusty to. How can some one be that dumb to leave a bolt stuck up in a coil?. While looking through the truck afterwards, we also noticed the mass airflow sensor had been removed.

And actually, im looking for the article now, but about a month ago i read that GM was sending a V6 camaro off to some tuner shop to get a complete over haul to be a competitor to the GT-R. it was supposed to get twin turbos and making some where just over the 500 horse mark. So it maybe possible to see this one day.

tyler, motor trend did an article a couple months ago with the 3.8 gensis vs the 2009 mustang Gt. the gensis was lighter, but the stang was still faster in just about every performance catagory. And now that ford is going to the new motors next year, i think even the V6 stang will take it down. But yes i honestly do think the jap companies care more about competeing the pony cars than they let people know. Also they may not build cars to compete directly with them, meaning they may try to aim the car a little more upscale, but what else is a 30-40k sport coupe suposed to compete with? Sure as hell not the vette.

I also think that now since even the import competitors are building some cars to compete with cars like the mustang and camaro, i think both ford and GM need to step it up and offer TT versions of the V6 cars to compete with the likes of the GT-R and such. I know its a dumb idea but it would pretty cool.

yea but one of these days when they realize dropping weight is important, they will find other ways to get rid of the weight. Although i do think all the air bags they put in cars anymore is a bit rediculous.

ok this is fucking stupid. I agree that there are gonna be cops that take advantage of this. i dont know about the cops where some of you live, but reynoldsburg cops are a bunch of cock sucking ass holes and im sure they will be all over this. Hell i got pulled over the other night for not using my turn signal when changing lanes, and taking a turn a littlt to sharp. Keep in mind, this is at 1 in the morning when no one else was around anyway. ill put money on it that ill be taking off at a stop light in my firebird, and the guy next to me will take of even quicker in his minivan, but ill be the one that gets pulled over. The other thing i think is stupid about this is, they leave it to the cop to decide if it street racing or not. When i go out to national trails, my mom, dad and me just follow each other out. When we get stuck at a traffic light or something, my dad has to get up in the rpm to get his car to shift (built AOD with a shift kit), keep in mind, my dad is completely against street racing, so its not like he does it but he can still be punished for it.

With the motors and models coming out, the muscle car wars will be very interesting. Ford has the 3.7 going in the mustang will have 305 hp and the new 5.0 is supposed to be somewhere around the 400 mark. I did also hear they were planning on using and ecoboost 6.2L for the cobra. The Z28 will have the supercharged 6.2L LSA with 556 hp.

yea with that 4000, yours will prolly drive about like mine does now. It cruises fine in OD at 40 mph and up, but much less than that and it starts jerking around pretty good.

i think you would be suprised. The v6 camaro has already made a name for itself by having 300 hp and still getting 30 mpg. This car is supposed to still get that 30 mpg as long as you dont beat on it to hard, while making a decent amount more power. So as long as they can keep it priced decently, i think they would sell like crazy. Also i read something a while back that gm was thinking of doing something like this to compete with an ecoboost mustang (if ford did make one) and the GT-R
