What run group to drive with?

Sort of. The Muscle car challenge is only friday the 2nd at the track (Putnam Park), in which 1010ths is running that event. The rest of the weekend Saturday and Sunday is just a 1010ths event from what I understand. I shall see you there!

I'm no longer organizing events, but still attend quite a few. I have been driving with 1010ths. They run exceptional events and its a great group of drivers. I haven't posted on here in a while but I will be at this one or the early May event. I'm not organizing events at putnam anymore but when I was Bill the owner of 1010ths really helped me out. I attended a few of their events last year and they are high quality events. They have an awesome group of drivers in the advance and intermediate groups. Probably the most fun I have at a track day last year was at their events.

This was one of the guys I had problems with as well.

Thanks again to all CR members that came to the event yesterday! I was co-organizing the event with Jason from AutoInterests however I was mostly on the marketing side. We learned a lot from this event and have some work to do with organizing events at Mid Ohio. There were a few reasons why the morning felt disorganized and we are going to correct those for the next event. I won't go into details but I felt it as well and talked to others who felt the same way. I ran with the intermediate group and had issues with drivers not pointing by. I'm not sure if any of the other groups had this problem but i feel we could have done a better job correcting this. That being said, I had an absolute blast! If you ran in the intermediate group i was the blue mustang gt that was being being lapped every session in the morning I have worn NT01's and in the monsoon felt like i was driving on ice. However after lunch I had a ton of fun! I use harry's lap timer for iOS for lap times and managed a 1:54 lap and a few 1:55's. Compared to my morning sessions of 3:00+ minutes per lap :fuckyeah: I have a lot of video from the intermediate sessions and will post them once i get time to go through them all.

We are checking with Mid Ohio just to put this to rest and be 100% clear and certain. Easy everyone Lets all hope it doesn't rain!

You can just show up between 6pm and 9pm. You don't have to let them know. I recommend early check in and tech if your able to make it during that time. It will make the morning of go smoothly. I will be there during that time dropping off the car. If you rented a garage they should be open and accessible as well.

All of our events are rain or shine. Most if not all HPDE events are rain or shine. The track won't let us reschedule or give us a refund. Hopefully the weather clears up. I wouldn't worry about the weather report this far out. If it shows 100% chance of rain on Sunday then we should worry . Also while it isn't as much fun you learn a lot at an event when it rains. Its a different experience and a huge learning experience.

Also unless something happens day of, I was successful in getting us into a 3 run group schedule! After talking to a lot of drivers and organizers we are going to go with 3 run groups with around 30 drivers per. We are going to have sessions from 8am - 11:30am then 12:30pm - 4:30pm and open track for the last 30 minutes. Official schedule is always subject to change but thats a sneak peak until its released!
