Thanks for the input guys! We are still working out the details. We should know shortly about the extra track time. We will consider the suggestion of 3 groups of 33 vrs 4 groups of 25. Thanks for the suggestion! If we can safely do 3 run groups I'm all for it, as i will be out there with you and would want the most track time for dollar as well. However I do know what it feels like to go a full session with so much traffic its not fun at all and I don't want that to happen. Shawn

We will not be giving discounts. Our rate is simular to all other clubs that organize events at Mid-Ohio and I feel its a fair rate. Mid-Ohio is very expensive and their contract and fees are a bit different compared to the tracks we have rented. However we are trying to purchase additional track time for the event. We hope to extend the day beyond 5pm however I can't confirm that yet. Thanks, Shawn

We want to ensure everyone has an opportunity to participate. We will not raise above 100 drivers if we even get that many. As I said in the inital marketing: Please keep in mind this is our first event organized at Mid-Ohio. There will be things we have to change and will learn along the way. No open passing, point by only. After talking it over with AutoInterests we are going to go with a 4 run group format. We are at 80 drivers registered! With regards to rules passing is by point by and only in the straights or approved passing zones. We have a 0 tolerance for aggressive driving! This is a lapping day, not a race. We typically give one warning and then they have to sit out for the remainder of the session (they will be black flagged and brought in). You can ask others that have attended our events in the past its a very laid back crew and group of drivers. The good news, WE JUST HIT 50 DRIVERS! This event is OFFICIALLY going to happen. Registrations are coming in very fast, I fully expect that we will reach our 75 driver limit very soon. Thanks! Not a problem on the email. I have a lot of drivers that attend my events at Nelson and Putnam ask for a Mid-Ohio event so I'm hoping they rally and we get the 50 deposits. Great questions. We will try to get the website updated today, however let me answer your questions. The event will be limited to 75 drivers, and depending on how many drivers sign up we are targeting 3 run groups with 20 minute sessions and an hour of open track at the end of the day. The event is from 9am - 5pm, being that the first group will be on track at 9am. If you have been to one of my events it will be the same format and experience. If we get over 60 drivers we may have to do 4 run groups however sessions are set at 20 minutes each with an hour of open track from 4-5pm. The total cost of the is $235, however we only need $100 right now to secure the track. The remainder of the balance is due by the dates below. $235 per car for registrations received by May 17th, 2013. $275 per car for registrations received on or after May 18th, 2012. Another item, there is no change for spectators. They will be removing that from the website. Feel free to bring family and friends.

I spoke with the Nelson Ledges management this morning they wanted to cancel the event. We are looking at 48 degrees and 50% chance of rain. If you registered i'm working on refunds now. Also all those who registered will receive 10% off any of our events in 2012. Thanks for understanding.

Sign up as intermediate. Run the first session with intermediate group then you can go to beginner for the rest of the day if you want. You will be fine in intermediate.
