11.84 @ 117.35mph w/ 1.84 60'
Still need to work out the traction so I can launch WOT and not baby into it.

Thanks for organizing this guys! I had a nice time and got a couple of runs in before lunch. Turned out to be a very nice morning!

It's actually a Showtime show...
It was on Showtime long before CBS aired it during the writer's strike.
And yes, it's one of the best shows on TV
I love that show and it's bullshit that they put it on Showtime now. I'm pissed. -
Ah cool. I work on that street

I had William put some QA1 shocks on, flush my brake system and go over my header bolts today. He did an excellent job! He's very professional and takes care in what he does.
I highly recommend him for anyone needing to get some work done!
Best,
Rick

It was nice to meet you guys (finally). Sorry I had leave early, but had to watch the big game.
See some of you next week at the track!

I'll be there until a little before 8pm. The big UM vs UF game is tonight. Go 'Canes!

Hi,
With 5psi, that's probably a low to mid 14's truck. And the tune should remove the mph limiter. I have a very similar Mark LT pushing 9 PSI with a LSD 3.73 rear and it can turn 13.9 on a best run (albeit it's a full 4-door truck). These trucks are big and heavy pigs, but your's is a little lighter. The blower just makes them fast pigs
PS - I love these trucks with blowers, they are lots of fun!
Rick
Not yet! To be honest, this truck has a speed limiter on it - 100mph!!! I'd like to go run it down a track, but I imagine I would hit the limiter before I hit the end of the track. I'd still take it, just for the hell of it!It also has an open 3.55. This truck shreds tires (one at a time, lol). I'm looking into getting a ls or locker for the rear.
Being a Roush, this truck is nice but it could be so much better. I'm only running about 3-5lbs and I've read the stock motor can hold 8-11lbs without any drivability issues. This is my first supercharged vehicle and it's my DD. I've got lots to learn but I can't get too crazy becasue my mpg's suck enough!
I imagine this is a 13sec truck. Not too shabby for a whale!

Welcome! That's a nice F150! Makes me miss mine!

522rwhp, 516rwtq
305/45/18's with about 18psi .
Best 60' was 1.9.
I could never get traction with these things, I had to baby it off the line.

I had the 555R's on for a while. They do grip better than regular radials, but they are easy to over-power. And yes, they need to be REALLY hot to work well.
I just purchased some MT's to replace these with...
Good luck!
-
Darn. Does anyone know of any 100 unleaded sold at the pump anywhere near the track (or even here in town)??
Worst case, I'll just use some Torco Accelerator.
Rick
NO unleaded race gas -
Is 100 unleaded sold at the track?
-
I'm in; ticket purchased.

Welcome Aaron!
There is another blue owner up in Delaware. It's quite rare to have two of you in the same area
I have a 04 Silver Birch MM with a few mods...
In fact, I just got the car back from Lidio's a few days ago:

See you around town!

I wasn't there in 2004, but every year since. Everything is at a standstill anyway...

Is anyone heading up to Detroit for the annual Woodward Dream Cruise?
I'm heading up Friday and will be cruising Friday and Saturday. I'll be parked at the Burger King off of Mile 13/14 and Woodward.
FYI, for those who don't know about woodward, it's a cruise about 16 miles long with about 100k hotrods and about 2 million people. It's great

Unfortunately, these are VERY difficult to remove and get back on. That's why I'm looking for an on-car lathe, so the job can be done while the rotors are still on the car.
Most shops where I'm from didn't have this nor would touch the brakes
-
I have a set of 6-piston Wilwoods with 13.1" rotors on my Marauder. I've developed a bad pulsation from them, which tells me they need to be cut. I've had this once before and they were cut once to solve the problem.
Can anyone recommend a good brake shop (or speed shop) that has an on-car lathe for cutting these types of rotors, that also has experience with aftermarket brakes like these?
Thanks!

The Torco Accelerator isn't octane booster like you buy in the Autoparts section at Walmart, it's a race fuel concentrate. They claim it's the same mix they make their race fuel from, just condensed in can version for personal use.
I've ran it with a race tune numerous times at the track without problems. It's good stuff.
-
Yes, and it really works.
I add 1 can to about 12 gallons of 93 and it averages out to about 12 gallons of 100 unleaded.
Fewer gallons = higher octane.
Is that an Octane Booster?KillJoy
-
I have a few cans of Torco accelerator. This stuff really works well and I've used it for about a year...
-
Yes, these are similiar to the results I found. Becareful with how much you add though, because this stuff can add a lot of weight tot he car quickly..
