  1. If anyone does decide to try this out, expect to be frustrated initially. i've been going for about a year and i'm just starting to figure things out. Dan drops in every once and a while.
  2. you are referring to the 565 deadlift? he has iron plates on there too.
  3. contact the trainers, Brandon or Graham, set up a time for an Elements class on Monday. Elements are on mon. wed. and thurs. You have to complete all the elements classes before you go on. One of the coaches teaches you the basics during the class.

  6. The only other gym in the area, other than Crossfit Grandview, is crossfit Polaris. But, the caliber of people at GV is hands down the best in the area. We had a male, the owner Graham, a female, Heather, and the team go the Crossfit Games last year. Elements classes are free on Mon. Weds. And Thurs.
  7. Everything in crossfit is scalable. I go to Crossfit Grandview. The 2010 crossfit champion is a co-owner there.
  8. that sucks. before i had my engine built, i was at 423whp/430wtq on a stock block with no problems. these things are hit or miss, definitely. stage 1 tune from the right tuner will only help, but i totally understand your hesitation. charcoal wheels on a silver car is titties, btw
  9. looks good after you break it in, go get a Cobb Accessport and PM Quicksand Jesus for a tune. stock tunes a berry shitty
  10. i totally agree. i was just thinking of all the little crap i buy. like an ice scraper. i'd run down to the auto parts store, walmart, or target to get one. 9 times out of ten, it would be made in asia.
  11. i saw that, Cook (i think that's his name?) said a bunch of the parts for the iphone are made in the US which is a good start.
  12. First purchase! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130623099909

  20. First off, I don't want this to turn into a political or ideological debate. I personally want to start buying more things made in the good ol' US of A. But, I realize there a several products in which this is not possible. The idea for the thread is to get ideas, help each other locate products, product reviews, pics, or whatever but try to keep it on-topic as possible. Here is a fairly decent website that lists some American products: http://www.americansworking.com/ Automotive specific: http://www.americansworking.com/autoparts.html I heard that there were no TVs made in America. The website listed one company that, at least, assembles in Detroit: http://www.elementelectronics.com/ more links: http://www.madeinusa.org/ I have not purchased any gifts for christmas this year and I want to keep as many USA products as I can. I feel like it's a little thing that I can do to help give the country a little kick in the butt. It's not much, but it's something. Anyone know where i can get a good 'Merican ice scraper? (don't mind the foreign cars i drive, lol)
  21. not a big fan of hennesey the man, but you can't argue with that car. DAYUM
