  1. '18 was a bloody expensive year. A move, a wedding, 2 vacations, picked up another lowered Mk3 Jetta GLX, and a janky 2nd gen Dakota.

The Jetta needs a ton of work. Pretty much all the steel lines in the brake system, and chase a random ground, and the typical heater core issues.

While the Dakota has low miles for its age, and is crazy clean for its age, the suspension needs a revamp, tires etc. Likely will just lower it, and add a few well placed R/T parts to stiffen it up in the turns.

The big plans are another move to Indian Lake, and a new boat purchase in a few months. Headed back to school finally this summer to broaden my earnings potential a bit. Life is good.

The Wife's Ninja has been in storage for a long time, and needs gone through, hopefully I can tinker with that here and there.

  2. Patterson for CR President 2019! Make CR great again!

If he wants back on the forum, all he needs to do is send me a msg and agree to tone it down. No personal attacks.

LOL, I've not talked to him in some time. Just feeling a little nostalgia.

  3. I have a few Harbor Frieght tools, but to be honest I haven't bought anything from them in years so my opinion of their stuff is irrelevent. The few wrenches and sockets I have of theirs have stood up fairly well and I haven't broken them, but they were bought because they are things I don't use often. 10 years ago you just didn't buy anything from there that had moving parts, maybe that's changed, but earning a living with my tools means not taking that chance.

Has anyone bought a tool with many moving parts from HF and had good luck with it? used it more then a couple times?

Actually their Angle Grinders have been very solid.

  4. Milwaukee hands down. I have used the 1/2 high torque impact a few times and love it. I will be getting one here soon. Look on facebook at the singing river tools page, it is run by a tool truck guy who sells tools nationwide and gives out pretty good deals. Right before christmas he had a sale for the 1/2 high torque impact, 3/8 impact, led light, 2 5.0 batteries and a charger for $569.

    Blasphemy

While not a CR sponsor, I will make deals for members.
