  1. It's really a Body Kit on a Cougar. So much for German Anality.
  2. Got it back together, running muuuuuuch better. The rear bowl was full of rust again after this afternoon. Time to flush, and get some tidy bowl.
  3. http://i523.photobucket.com/albums/w351/Pats16Valve/005-4.jpg?t=1300241274 Photobucket is terrible tonight. You can tell where it was dead rich, and has gone very lean. The ring, and down the electrode are sooty, and the ground and projector tip are white-tan. I checked the gap on a few and they seem a little on the wide side +.040". It'll need plugs as well. We tore it apart again, and sprayed our the metering block, and mainbody, and found a ton of crap in there. I replaced the Accelerator pump diaphragm since the other was totally shot. So tank needs to be dropped, carb needs totally flushed, and rebuilt. The lines and pump will need flushed as well. We added another filter at the carb to help stop the garbage form hitting the carb til this weekend.
  4. So swapped out the PV last night. It was a blown 6.5. Swapped in a good 6.5 from a Holley I had here. Also changed ot the stock 66 jets to 62's. Cleaned up idle a bunch and leaned it out. Part throttle was horrible. Today, went down to Jegs, picked up a few thingamabobbers. 8.5, 9.5 PV, few gaskets, Quick change secondary spring kit, and clear sight plugs. Put the 9.5 in based on Holley's formula Vac/2-2. 23/2-2=9.5. Put the 66 jets back in, and put the long yellow in. It's popping through the exhaust with no load starting around 2200 and goes until 3000. Under load it pops badly through the exhaust from 2200-3500. It cleans up and runs pretty good after that. At this point I'm leaning towards being lean. Thoughts please, I'm tired of the whining.

I meant that exactly as I typed it.....
  6. Needs a driver mod. I should come down there and meet up with him. That way he can get at least one kill.
  7. You want a tight gape. Unless of course you want your kernel blown out...
  8. Stock is listed as .028-.032. for N/A cars. Set them in the tight side, and see what it does.
  9. PFFFTtt this is all about off topicness.
  10. Pm Ansonivan, he may have a set.
  11. It didn't look like the truck was sagging, just a low hitch mount.
  12. Keep those things .030-.040. Unless you're running a really hot aftermarket igntion, it's gonna make it tough for the spark to jump without being blown out. Average Gape is Good.
  13. That was last night. Well actually it was Caribou Lou's or whatever they're called. Good stuff.
  14. You guys are killing me. Did a little house keeping this week. I bent a wheel on Wednesday, got a new one installed Friday. Thanks to Shanton for that one. I've had a brake light out all week as well. Replacing the bulb didn't do anything, so a little more digging and thanks to the ODC I ended up with a brake light circuit failure. 18 bucks later and a new brake switch all is well. On deck this week are gathering parts to replace the worn out, craked and generally hosed intake parts for new stuff. The nightmare of fab work begins. 3 45's, some Silicone couplers, and filter need to be ordered. Since I don't have a billion dollars for an exhaust I'll have to build my own for that too. Hopefully this week will be nice enough to get some decent pics. Exhaust stuff should be here this week as well as a few other important bits. :ninja: Right now the big one is finding a way to tune it. OBD2 stuff is still in the early stages of being decoded. Conforti has a couple of flash tuners but they have generic off the shelf tunes. I want to see if they can change a few functions around to do other things. I'm on the hunt for an LSD, OBD1 Intake manifold, and cam cores to send off to Delta. Finally things are getting interesting.

Performance Research man. Do it now.
  17. 23 to 25 in neutral. It's a manual.
  18. Small Carter pump. 7psi internally regulated. It's not pushing past the needles. It doesnt drip when the pump is on but motor doesn't run. The choke is locked open. Before you could bottom the idle screws and it would keep running. After backing out the curb idle screw 5 or 6 turns it was running on the idle circuit again. The mixture screws are out about one and a half turns.
  19. PV is a 6.5, floats can't be far off, fuel is steady through the boosters, not dripping. It was pretty far from correct when Chris got it. Likely to make up for poor idle circut adjustments.
