  1. How many can sing the theme song to Sponge Bob, Little Mermaid, Toys, Cars, or any other movie they'll watch a hundred times?
  2. Off idle stumble, likely not getting full effect of the Accelerator pump, Inconsistent opening of secondaries, The jetting may be off a bit, but I haven't pulled the plugs yet. I'm getting 23-25" vacuum at around 800 RPM idle. Floats may be a little high, but I had pulled the sight crews yet to check. Timing is 10' initial, total is 35ish. 22-2500 cruise stumble at times. Somebody move this to the Tech section. I've owned more carb'd cars than I care to admit, but I'm sure I'm missing something. 1850 is the most basic carb of carbs for four barells there is.
  3. These are stud mount right? Possibly the rocker nut backed off?
  4. Yep flip the receiver, if that doesn't get it get a longer drop/raise.
  5. Okay, used a different player. I'd vote for lifter.
  6. Get the kit, Likely need it anyway.
  7. I've been playing with it, and I'm ready to shoot it.
  8. If you do it, post pics or a video.
  9. That is torture. I'd only recommended that for you.
  10. Just make sure you get the Orange Alkaseltzer. While it's gross, the rest will make you question if it's worth it.
  11. I went through one about a month ago. No fun for sure. Heavy does of Ibuprofen, and Alkaseltzer cold medicine.
  12. I couldn't hear any sound. Does it idle smoothly?
  13. You did this to the wife right? Little girl is cute though. We had a bit of a hard time when we had or first. It went on for what seemed like forever, and just about gave up. Given that Norah is a year and three weeks younger so I'd say the seal was definitely broken.
  14. God I'd rather not gut it out. I suppose it's the old in me. The motors for the seat backs don't work, so the lean back is getting kinda old already. The seats will get changed out eventually, for something a lot lighter, and more sporting.
  15. I'm guessing the internals for the motor are modded too. Nice times, from the few pics I've seen I wouldn't have guessed it was that quick. My original plan was to buy a different Bimmer, do a 5.0 swap and rag it out this year. I picked up this one for a great deal, so I'm gonna skit the swap for now. While the car isn't perfectly suited for Drag Racing, there are a few mods (specifically to the rear suspension) that I'm gonna do to help it out. LSD, diff brace, and subframe braces. It's gonna need a clutch and flywheel as I doubt whats in there will hold. As far as power adders, I'm gonna do headers, exhaust, S52 (M3's) regrinds, different Intake manifold, a tune and a healthy dose of nitrous. The more I look at the car I keep thinking Triple Threat. Be able to run at the drag strip, Road Course/Auto-X, and Mile runs. For times I'd like to see low 12's-high 11's. While keeping it fully streetable.

At this point you should have learned to respect VAG products. That Audi you're rolling around in with a bad rod bearing would've eaten itself alive by now if it was a DSM.
  17. Is there a video of the 500 winning? Everything its been in so far he has lost.
  18. But then you miss out on ridiculousness like this: http://i523.photobucket.com/albums/w351/Pats16Valve/004-1.jpg?t=1299944032 But agreed I was of the same opinion for a long time as well.
  19. Very true it is a part of growing up. I used to not pay attention to all the dumbassedness. I can't help but notice it anymore. We're on house #3 now, and I just want this place paid the hell off.
  20. So true. Up until I met my wife I was happy kid free. Met her, and it was a package deal. Nathan was just a year old, Married after 2 1/2 years, another 2 years goes by we had Evan, then things really changed. Then we had Norah almost exactly a year later. Now that I have them, I'd never give them up for anything. But priorities get so rearranged it's not even funny. You start looking at your career (I made a huge change), how you spend your money, my attitude towards the world has grow seriously cynical. And I find myself looking at younger people shaking my head. Only because I've figured out that 99% of them are dumb asses.
  21. My 80 454 Dually was getting 8 mpg whether it was loaded or not, Then again it was on 33's, and had 5.13's, and a TH400. It would pull a house off it's foundation but was screaming at 65 for mercy. Trailer, Car and tools weighed in around 9000lbs.
