who would want to buy a car with a engine with a spun rod? i got too much money to get fucked and get like 1-2 out of my car. and ls1 swap = more than 5grand.

Yeah i was thinking about getting a new car but i don't want to spend the money i do have and just keep having problems. I got a little over 5 to build the motor so. My parts list is: New oil pump ARP Rod bolts ARP Main studs Clevite .010" bearings Eagle rods JE Pistons .020" over clean up the crank from the spun bearing balance and blueprint the motor Thats what i was planning on using to put the bottom end together with, and i would have Lasota racing assemble, balance, and blueprint the motor. Also, i already have a pretty much brand new head on the car (Just rebuilt and refreshed 2k miles ago) ARP head studs HKS Metal headgasket and nearly every bolt on i could have Not to mention ive nearly replaced everything else on the car Suspension / Trans / Interior / Water Pump / Timing Belt / Radiator Etc. Only thing still stock is the bottom end and rear end, everything else has been changed/replaced/upgraded. Not sure what i want to do though...

Well i already priced out parts, and still had over 2k left over after parts. (mainly for Machine shop work). Im not trying to build a bottom end with like $1,500.

Its your PCV. Supra does this (Did this) all the time , would always be a little spot of oil sitting on the compressor housing. Catch can time. Also i got a old ct-26 that has a little bit of shaft play, but the fins and everything is good. Took it off for a upgrade to a 57 trim.

Didn't they just copy BMW? I could of swore when you bought a BMW you could opt extra $$ to go to europe and see the car be made. Also, didnt know LS9 blocks were 5.2l's. EDIT: It says there building a LS9, how come some of the pictures show a 5.2l block and some show a 6.2l?

Howd the built 7m car run? You say the 1j was smoother yeah ill give it that, but do you know what crank you had? Also, was the 7m strong? What parts did you use?

Debating on stock rods or aftermarket ones, but im putting in forged pistons. Also balancing / blueprinting the motor. New oil pump etc.

How many miles difference on the motors? Not getting into the 2j / 7m reliability crap cause i know the 2j is better lol. Not sure, dont know a whole lot about built motors and forged internals and how the react to heat and outside temps etc.

Not going through the problems you had, + by the time i by the 2j and all the NA-T stuff i could eaisly have built my bottom end.

Yeah i know shanton has a built block by lasota, (Thats what partially gave me the idea for them), plus i think josh with the integra build had lasota do his block too. Not entirely sure. So a built motor with forged internals wont have any problems driving in the winter and such?

This car makes me drool. Nothin like full boost by 2,500rpm.

Whats your opinions? Build the motor in my supra (Spun a rod bearing). Would go full forged internals (Probably Eagle Rods and JE/Wiseco Pistons since ive heard sketchy things about probe. But, would it be smarter to rebuilt a motor with forged internals then DD that everyday, or just get a new car? Im pretty much just trying to find out if itll be ok to DD a built motor in the winter etc. I will be machining the block and probably having Lasota do the work and build/blueprint/balance it. What are your guy's input?

It was a giant eagle off of busch last night @ the goodguys thing.

I just dont see 74lb injectors making 950-1000 @ the crank. And its a 4x4 auto.
