Video would go a long way in the sound for the rest of us to judge
Make a video! We wanna hear it!!

How does it sound with the Chinagate cutout?
Its not quite the "explosive sound" I was expecting, but its definitely louder for sure. I dont think I would actually want it any louder under WOT. If I was to redo it I think I would try and "Y" the pipe instead of the "T" setup I have now. Overall Im happy with the $100 spent. I need to unplug it and do a comparison now that Ive sorta forgotten how it sounded before.
I need to update my post. I modified the air intake system slightly and added an a/w reservoir. I also swapped motor mounts. Ill add more pictures soon and explain whats going on.

I did look at the LED's - but with a sizable RockAuto parts order, I just got new sealed beams for now. The Hella's will be bright enough.
I put H4's in my truck that were previously sealed beams. They work very well. Id say probably better than most aftermarket LED stuff. Something to consider. Pretty inexpensive.

I can always grab more anytime anyone wants any. Not looking to make money. Just pay cost + tax and I'll grab it. No limit on them either. I could have grabbed all 9 if I wanted.
Thanks for offering to the group. My wife snagged one last night at shrock Kroger. I might have her make a regular stop on Tuesday and see if that can get my inventory back up.

If you like super smooth wheated, Larceny is pretty damn tasty. Ultra smooth but not a big finish I think. About $35 a bottle and usually can get it anywhere. It's a bottle in my regular rotation of stuff for at home as I prefer wheated but learning to enjoy some rye's more in the past year.
I read that but I just dont care for it. Ive tried it several times and am always just mehh.

Just saw a picture of two cases at Schrock Road Giant Eagle. For the Wellers Green label, it's at Kroger on on Schrock in Westerville and I just picked up a bottle there about 45 mins ago. Guy said they had 7 cases they put out yesterday about 2 PM and down to 3 cases now so it will likely be gone by end of today. At the front register in the liquor store.
Would have bought another and passed it to somebody on here but they would only let me get one.
Thanks. Funny you guys mention that. My wife works at St Anns and said a couple of her DR's stop on Tuesday on their way in and they typically have a good supply. I'll try and get her to stop for me tonight.

Been putting some miles on the truck the past couple weeks.
I upgraded the booster and master cylinder in hopes of getting better pedal feel and maybe overall improved braking. I bought a later model tahoe/truck master cylinder and a S10 reservoir. I had to swap out the booster to an 81-87 to make everything fit. Wow. What a huge difference! Like night and day. Very worthwhile mod.
I attempted to charge the AC yesterday and realized one of the hoses I made has a leak. Im worried the crimper I borrowed might not be doing the job. Luckily a guy at work recently bought a nice one. So Im gonna attempt to re crimp the hoses.
My air to water setup is in need of something. The other day when it was 90* ambient the IAT would go over $135* when in and out of traffic on side streets. I rebleed the system and got out some air and go more water in it. Im gonna see how that does but Im researching where I can fit another tank to add more fluid to the system. Id love to keep it out of the engine bay if possible. Still working out ideas.
Ive been messing with the boost control table in the Holley to try and get the truck to spool a bit better. Its a little lazy. I bumped it around and went a little overboard. It spooled instantly and immediately into boost cut. haha. So I adjusted it again and got it pretty close. Pretty happy with that part of it.
Still fighting my infamous noise/vibration but whatever. I think Im gonna keep an eye out for a cheap trans to maybe swap this winter to see if that changes anything with the truck. That and maybe another converter.
Anyway. Have a good weekend.

It's actually the Ohio liquor agency website. The stores are required to report sales. It's pretty accurate.
The main thing I use it for is to know which stores to call. Saves me from calling 20 stores looking for a product.

There's one right near my work. Might run up at lunch and test it out.

Im curious what type of man/woman would want to take on these "non-armed" public safety jobs? There is already a problem with recruiting in most areas. Along with people calling for defunding the force which 90% covers salaries, etc (from what I read). So now we have less money to hire quality applicants and less money to properly train them.
Im not saying one way is better or right Im just talking out loud here.

I dont have any desire to sleep in a camper anymore but I approve this post. We had a mid-70's Winnebago has a kid and I have tons of wonderful memories of camping down at Walhonding.

No way I would consider using that.
If you want to swap out the carb, you'd be crazy not to invest the $1k in a sniper kit.

Clay can give you the official answer but people are definitely showing up at Lennox. Yesterday was a mostly filled parking lot.

Id been wanting to do something with the exhaust on the truck. Its quiet under normal driving but too quiet under heavy throttle. I've only ever seen issues with the selection of cut outs on the market. I thought why not try a large wastegate to use as a boost activated cutout? So I found a big ole 60mm gate on chinabay. It should be more reliable if it works how Im hoping.
Spent memorial day fitting and fabricating it into the downpipe. Well just after the downpipe at the rear of the trans. I made a little rubber isolater as the gate is pretty heavy. We'll see if it holds up. Then I just plumbed it to the compressor outlet. I put the lightest spring in it I could fine. Haven't tested it out yet. Ill update when I do.

Imma just gonna sneak this one in here and act like I was part of the group. :-)

Did anyone listen to the Joe Rogan Podcast with Rhonda Patrick, about the vitamin D deficiency issue in the US? Some interesting correlation made between D levels and immune health/death from this virus.
Good interview with her. Always something to be learned.

Thought Id share some pics from my SxS trip this past weekend. My brother and I and his friends drove down and stayed at Ashland Resorts.
We stayed Thursday through yesterday. We road Thursday afternoon for a couple hours then 8 hours on Friday and Saturday. We covered nearly 90 miles on Saturday. We covered 3 trails systems on the Hatfield and Mccoy system.
It was awesome! My brother and I switched off between his RZR 900 2 seater and is RZR 1000 RS1 single seater. The 1000 is perfect for my style of riding. Plenty of power and the power steering makes it easily driveable. Its a little floaty because of it but I still prefer it over not having it. The single seater is nice because you can see exactly where both front tires are. It throws a lot of dirt but its a sweet machine. Ive ridden SxS's on and off for years so I felt pretty confident on both machines. Probably rode a little faster than I should have in spots.
Im trying to talk myself out of buying one. I feel like I just couldn't use it enough to justify the $15-17k price tag. Its several hours to anywhere you can ride. Anyway, overall a great weekend with no broken parts.
This was the view from right across the street of some little pizza joint.
This was the first of 3 BIG holes we blasted through on the return trip on the last day. I think the water was pretty close to 2ft deep. I thought I had buried my machine but once it hit the bottom it dug in and drove out. I was soaked!
The crew. Awesome weekend. I recommend everyone do it. You can rent machines if need be.
