Those staff and maintenance costs don't come from thin air...
Lets say 500 families sign up for the summer membership. Thats $80,000. If the pool has, say 4 employees on duty at all times, making 7.25 an hour, and the pool is open from 10am to 8 or 9pm, thats 319$ a day just in wages. That comes to just short of 40k for the year. Lets not forget the cost of chemicals to keep the water clean, electricity to power the lights, pumps etc. not to mention winterization and dewinterization. Dont forget landscaping, insurance, and general repairs to the facility.
So what im saying is, 160 bucks a family really isnt that bad...
