I wish thats all I had. But I mean, most of my probs were on my 2g. The 1g was def a more solid ride. I still had a shit ton of problems though considering they were my daily drivers and they were for the most part stock. They could have had a sketchy history though. A lowered 1g (90/91) with a FMIC is pretty slick though. My daily now is ordinary too, and i fucking hate it, but I doubt I'll ever buy another dsm. My 2g almost got me killed ;(

Its was light and on the surface. I just sanded the rust off with a wirebrush then a dremel. its down to fresh silver metal, and i was going to paint that. I figured i caught it in time before I have to go to steps of cutting it up.

Got a patch of rust on my driverside frame rail. Taking tonight to wirebrush/sand/wash it and I ordered some POR-15. Is this stuff gonna do the trick or is there something better i should be using? I have little to no experience with rust control ;(

They're both reliable imo.. I can't compare the evo to my old daily 2g tsi(which pretty much crumbled to pieces). I prefer the look of the older 04/05 sti but I've driven both and i actually find the interior/ride of the evo a little nicer. STI's solid engine mounts add vibration and personally i hate the blue seats.. But I love the look of the subaru which is why I'd still rather own the sti, because at the stock level neither really has an edge on the other (I'm talking 04/05, apparently the new sti gets pwned by the evo). Personal preference with those two cars really.
