1:40.8 in the tuned car after about 15 laps. Haven't tried the stock car yet. I need more time behind my g25 but there is no way I'm getting close to the 1:36 the leader posted. Fun track though, wish we could run all the cars from GT5P on it.

I'm going to try to make this one.

Wish I could make it. Hopefully there's another nice weekend before everyone puts their cars away for the Winter. -

What time would this be? After the game hopefully? I'd like to get out and meet some people. -
Awesome Pictures. I was down there Sunday also. Looks like you must have taken the parking spots at Old Man's Cave the Vette club had earlier in the day. Turned out to be a great day and if you got away from the caves there was little traffic on some good roads.

That sounds about right, You'll be one of the first ones there. I usually leave the Polaris area around 7:45. If no one is there or cones aren't up, go past the first parking lot and park in the first row of parking spots in the second lot. Don't be afraid to introduce yourself, everyone is very helpful and will make your first Autocross experience a good one. They might put you to work too. haha
-
I will be there, like always. I would plan to get there early if you aren't part of the club. If it's a nice day we'll have lots of cars.
-
Then if you don't get enough from SCCA's autocross, Buckeye Miata Club has one the next weekend on August 23rd at the Historical Society. There will be plenty of non-Miatas there to compete with.

I think so, Unless you like cruising through Lewis Center neighborhoods a lot. You're probably thinking of my dad's 01 I drove to the high school. Now I have my own (in the same color) that's faster, louder, older, and scarier. -

I wish I had the money. That car is always looking nice. I can understand you wanting a conv though, there's nothing better than cruising with the top down. Good luck with the sale if you decide to let it go. -
I'll be there.

If I have the money and my car is track ready I'd love to take it to the track. I might even get my Dad to bring his Miata or his Audi. Later works for me since I'll have more money later and I can always swap tires around and take my Dad's Miata, even though it would be slow. I'd be in for a Sonic meet.

I saw my 3rd and 4th GTRs this week. I was in Michigan for Formula SAE and there was a black one at the track and then I was driving around one night exploring for back roads, which there are no paved back roads where I was, and found another one that I played with a bit. It ended up being an editor for a magazine and he wasn't afraid to drive it! Sorry, no pics. I wish I had my camera out.

Yep, that's it. My dad and i tried to get him to push it a bit, we were in his V8 S4, but we couldn't even hear the exhaust note from behind him at a stop sign.

http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/2356/dscn1915u.jpg I've seen this one around campus and the Polaris area a lot. Followed it for a while on my way home last Friday and saw it again on 315 an hour later and it was as dirty as it was in the Winter. The owner must have forgot something on campus or just loves driving on the highway in traffic! I also saw a white one on Polaris this weekend. It was clean but no pictures of it.
-
I also saw it last night at about 2. i was coming the other way so I didn't get a great look, but it looked more like a C5 and just a base coupe with black wheels.

I've noticed that the search is sometimes picky, so just keep trying. And there's also Miataturbo.net if for some reason those two don't have what you're looking for. Then of course if its not on any of those, just ask and you'll get responses within 10 minutes, kinda like on here.

It shouldn't take much effort to do this. I've only had to do the fronts so I can't personally tell you its easy, but it looks like it will be a little harder than the fronts since you must cut a bit of material. Once you get the stud in, just put the wheel on and tighten with a lug nut. This will set the stud in place and you'll be just fine. If you haven't been over to Miata.net, you should really check it out. A simple search will bring up all the secrets to the Miata. Here's a nice thread on how to replace your rear stud. http://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=51615&highlight=rear+wheel+stud edit: Oh and a wheel stud is $0.99 at Advanced Auto. Go ahead and buy extras so you have them for when the next one strips or snaps.

That should help a lot. Now it doesn't seem too hard and all makes sense why we couldn't find the bolts, the Germans covered them! Thanks
-
That's how I figured it would work. I'll have to take another closer look next time I'm home. Thanks
-
Really? I've never seen anything like that. Then again I haven't been around cars that long either. Thanks for checking

My dad is getting to that point where he needs to replace the front pads of his 2005 Audi B6 S4. We took a wheel off this weekend and looked and looked for a secret bolt to unhinge the brake caliper. We couldn't find anything. Luckily there is more pad left than we thought, but they probably won't last through the summer with a few autocrosses. I couldn't find anything on the S4 forum, which doesn't seem very active anyways, and figured with a few S4 guys on here I could get a hint on where to look, hopefully it is similar to a B5 or another Audi. Thanks in advance
