Lol I know you did, I'm just kidding. Easier not to blame myself for chickening out. This turbo is going to have a tough time hitting 850, no way it does over 900. The higher torque than hp is telling me the turbine is getting a lil small for what im trying to push it to. Its one of the reasons i found it pretty easy to call it quits for the day. I walked in wanting to take it to 22psi, no way another 2 lbs were going to get me above 850.

Same car that made 760 last year guys! http://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-induction/1745257-stock-bottom-ls1-makes-800-hp-tq.html Nothing special at all, its got a terrible boost cam, 317s, ls9 gaskets, headstuds, ls6 intake and an ebay intercooler. It doesnt have the lightest drivetrain either, T56 Magnum, 9in, and 28in drag radials on 17in wheels. Its just got Brian's tune, thats why its making power. Cordell, if you wouldnt have been there to get into my head while the car cooled down i wouldve kept going!! haha well and the GF looked like she was ready to kill me.. You guys were a HUGE help though, i cant thank you enough. already bought a truck alternator and bigger grounds. BTW i did give it a couple 2-4 gear pulls on the way back to cleveland on monday. fucker screams. See ya next year for more Brian! (even though i know you hate this car)

Bought it used for 900

The car has always hooked really well, maybe the m/t's help a lil haha Its a very bright orange firebird lol you won't miss it

230/230 .613/.592 111+2 LSA its what some might a call a bad turbo cam (XE-R/XFI lobes)..:gabe:

Its on E85, no other way to go!

Thanks for the compliments guys. But yeah, ive never been a believer of the whole rod bolts thing. I shift at 6k so it barely sees any rpm (not like it needs to haha) Car surprised the hell out of us though, thats for sure! We spent the most time wondering how to get it to stop making power lol. Well i cant throw Brian under the bus there.. he said lets throw more timing in it, leave it at 16lbs, and lean it out back to 11.5 but i just dont have it in me to do that.. yet..

Well Brian did it again guys. Swapped my turbo out from a TC78 to a Precision 7675 GTS-H. The bigger turbine let the car hold boost better and it made 690 right off the street.. no changes whatsoever. threw another degree in it through the entire range and fattened it up to 11.0AFR throughout. He said my 80lbs were maxed on this pull but it was pretty cool to see. Timing at peak torque is 14deg, at peak hp its 19-20deg. Boost was at 16psi and fell to 15psi by the end of the pull. Left the dyno at 12lbs so its back down to 680-690. I still may bring it down some more cus the rods are going to be extremely angry with me, all depends how i gear the car. http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x295/PurpleProbeGt95/760hpdyno_zpsab77591f.jpg Side note: when it made 630 last year, the car had stock heads(853s), stock head gaskets and stock head bolts. Link to last years results: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103852 This year: stock untouched 317s, ls9 gaskets, and ARP head studs. NO other changes, at all. So realistically, i picked up 60rwhp by switching to the PT7675 and putting on the 317s, not bad. Ill get a video this weekend when i go back for the dyno day, we had to sit on the rear to keep if from spinning so i couldnt get one. Brian is the shit, hands down. Thanks to Brad too for hanging out and helping to get it some extra traction haha.

good to know. went and tested the E85 at Speedway over in galloway near brians shop and it came out to 85%

Im trying to get my car tuned before the may 5th dyno day but it doesnt seem like they switched the blends yet. I tested the E85 at the Clintonville get-go and it came out to 75%. They should be bringing back the good stuff soon.. anyone tested anywhere else?

whenever E85 switches back to a good blend, end of april/beginning of may should work

im looking to upgrade and wanna move this. Its been an absolutely outstanding turbo for what i wanted to do but its time to upgrade. I didnt think id be doing it this fast which is why i bought this turbo to begin with. It has under 1500mi on it. Looks brand new. I did have to grind the exhaust housing a lil to clear my water pump, it obviously does not affect the performance. its perfect other wise. Made 630/650 on ~10lbs on brians dyno TURBONETICS HURRICANE SERIES TURBO CHARGER "BENITA" TURBINE MODEL NUMBER : 7868 HURRICANE NAME: BENITA HORSE POWER: 650-800HP COMPRESSOR WHEEL: HP-78 COMP IN /OUT: 4" / 2.5" NON PORTED SHROUD TURBINE WHEEL: F1-68 TURBINE HOUSING: T4 FLANGE / .96 AR TURBINE IN / OUT : 3" V BAND PART NUMBER : 11535 paid just over $800(brand new) for it a year ago, asking 650 picked up, add shipping. firm on the price. the turbo is still on my car and you can see it run if youd like. Anyone who has seen the car run knows that it does not smoke at all. there is not shaft play. its had a -4AN feed and -10AN return, so its seen enough oil. I will continue to run this if it does not sell. http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x295/PurpleProbeGt95/3-25-12393.jpg

Damn, i didnt see this today. i woulda brought mine down. Glad to see its going well though, wish I could have made it! (youll be hearing from me soon)

Haha I went ON the 3rd beep, geesh. When your car is done, we wont even honk it off, you can just go whenever. Will that finally heal the wound? Finally, someone sees it the way i do.

Im venting all four corners right now, i ground down the bottom of the ls6. I really wanna push the stock bottom and ill have some more money to play with if things go wrong when i get back. The only way i see this thing cracking a ringland is if it detonates or has cooling issues. the car runs kinda hot right now but im going to take care of that asap and i honestly wont be able to drive the car anymore until august. My biggest fear right now is those stock headgaskets/bolts. i just dont trust them one bit, but i do get what youre saying.. I really want to do E85/meth and see what Brian is really made of -

Thanks, its speed density. Best post of the thread Brian. Headstuds,ls9 gaskets, and a 3.50 or higher rear gear are the plan when i get back from work in August. 4th pulls like a mother effer but i just run out of rpm. -

Thanks for taking my buddy to get the O2 sensor, that made things a lil easier on all of us. But yeah its a blast, the car doesnt spin at all which makes it even crazier. Thanks. Youll walk out of that place on happy customer for sure. Its a homebuilt truck manifold kit. -
Let me start this by saying there arent words to descride how awesome Brian was in tuning my car. This thing was a damn tuning nightmare. We started at 1 and didnt get finished untill 830pm. He stood by the whole time and made absolutely sure this car was getting tuned. The tune is spot on and he even convinced me to take my tampon out and let the car make some power.. Bottom line is I could not be happier with the customer service this guy provides. I never felt like just another lsx tune, i knew he was tuning my car the way it needed to be done. I can guarantee there is no other shop in Ohio or even the surrounding area that would put up with what we had to do to get this thing done. I will never go anywhere else, and if you do, you need to reconsider. Brian, i know ive been an absolute pain in the ass sometimes with all my calls(even today). But I probably did 10 3rd-4th gear WOT pulls tonight and its running awesome. I was brake boosting hard in 3rd by the end of the night and this thing rips. Like i said, i couldnt be happier with the work you put into the car, its amazing and i really cant thank you enough. onto the car, stock bottom end stock heads, stock headbolts ls6 intake 230/230 .613/.592 111+2 cam (not so boost friendly eh..) 6speed/9in TC78 .96a/r E85 best pull was 632whp/652tq on the "Brian/Steve tune" haha. we pulled some timing after this and its not at this level now. http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x295/PurpleProbeGt95/graph297.jpg Here is a vid of the 598whp/605tq run. http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x295/PurpleProbeGt95/th_tune307.jpg Feel free to upload whatever you have Brian and thanks again.

i wouldnt really shy away from mileage if the price is right, and in this case, it isnt.. I bought a 200k mile ls1 formula for 3k. Not a damn thing wrong with it and i sold it for the same price with 10k more miles a year later. But i know the motor/platform like the back of my hand so i wasnt afraid of it. The engine in that denali has proven to be strong even with that kind of mileage but in no way is it worth 12k
