  1. Tesla sells every car they can make. It will be years, even after the first gigafactory is completed, before Tesla has any product that isn't sold faster than they can make it. The irony is that by the time they have the capacity to produce vehicles in numbers to compete with traditional car makers the game will have changed completely and all the companies that get left in the traditional automobile business will be unable to compete at their level. Saying Tesla is a "car maker" that "sells cars" to "consumers" is very much 20th century thinking and not at all what I see in their future.
  2. From reading this thread, along with most analysts, I would argue that Tesla is a very misunderstood company. Tesla isn't competing against BMW, Toyota, or any other car maker. The "established sales and distribution networks" that people think are advantages to existing auto makers are "advantages" that Tesla does not want. I eventually see the consumer automobile business as a hobby compared to what Tesla will be able to do when it comes to revenue generation. As far as share price, $500+ within the next year and a half would not surprise me.
  3. That is a flipping crazy ass crash, Glad you are ok. Don't see very many Prelude's left on the road anymore.
  4. How awesome was that sale? These are the rare opportunities, imo, when you can just go out and buy the best companies because they are all on sale. Ended up buying XOM@68.50, AAPL@103, and DIS@94. Just wish the sale had lasted longer, back to buying boring USO now.
  5. I've looked on http://www.relayrides.com or http://www.zipcar.com and seen interesting options. Surprising amount of people on there rent out the sports cars they own for a reasonable price, I believe something like an FRS is usually around $60 per day.
  6. +1, You can go into one in any city and have the same nice experience.
  7. Picked up som DIS and AAPL earlier this morning, but nothing big. Little by little...
  8. For good quality and value I'd recommend going to a Nordstrom. For a good value, especially on sale, you can get a nice Hugo Boss suit made in the USA and they will tailor it there.
  9. Your comparison between the V and the M was spot on. Just about all the points I think about when comparing the two cars, and I agree with everyone that as far as daily enjoyment/reliability the V will win hands down.
  10. Yes, I love watching a bunch of great companies go on sale, just not sure it's the right time to start buying yet.
  11. Maybe it's better if I explain my strategy better. I've only bought about 20% of what I plan to buy ultimately in my first 3 buys (3%, 7%, 10%). As it goes down more I will up my purchases progressively so that my last buy will be at the lowest price I get it at and that will end up being around 35% of the total, hopefully in the low $30 per barrel range. Looking at what everyone has been saying I have started to let it go down a little further between purchases like you said.
  12. I understand the argument. Am I getting in on the bottom with every purchase, no. I am averaging a purchase around every 4-5% drop right now and will probably continue to do this (roughly every $0.60 drop), increasing my purchases each time. I did decide against going every quarter, but overall, I feel like I was getting a good deal when I started purchasing and it just gets better and better.
  13. Made another oil purchase today.....
  14. Congratulations! Very cool color and perfectly optioned. I have definitely noticed the increase in Mustangs the last few years, especially since the new one came out. I have always thought of myself as a person who would never even consider a Mustang, but the new ones have come so far so quickly.
  15. Interesting test. I was Clinton, Sanders, O'Malley, Paul, Bush, Trump. Surprisingly Paul was 67% in agreement.
  16. TSLA got their price target from Morgan Stanley upped to $465 today. I usually don't hold stocks for the very long term, but when I sold my TSLA earlier in the year I kept half of my profits in the stock.
  17. I love the Clintons so I will be voting for Hillary. It would be funny however, if Ben Carson got elected, it would be proof that once you go black you don't go back.
  18. I've been buying more at 14.50 and last Friday at 14.06. I am going to start buying more on every $0.25 drop now. Loving this sale.
  19. A lot of the Tarantino movies just blend together for me to the point where even a new one seems like the same old flavor.
