  1. Nope. Medics are carrying that shit to try to have a chance anymore, not the other way around.

Uhhh no, the latest rage..... naloxone parties, everyone goes out and buys a kit or two, then..... we have a heroin party with a designated person to revive those that OD.

I have seen plenty of OD "victims", many had been brought back many times before the final fatal time.....it's pretty sad that such a drug can get a hold on people in such a way...........

  2. I did just the opposite, I kept my F350 and bought a low mile street appearance police package Crown Vic, 4 doors, good handling, passenger car amenities, with all the heavy duty accessories.....brakes, suspension, sway bars, cooling, and, if you drive it normal....20-24Mpg.

I'm into my 85k mile ride for $4500, and that was with going through everything, brakes, fluids, tires, some cosmetics and a clean up. GovDeals is a good starting place.

The hunt is half the fun.....

  3. I'm assuming he didn't write the actual amount down for the vehicle. If it's open, may as well put 800 on there or something.

That's ok till the state calls the seller and questions the amount.....been there, done that.

Not worth a few dollars to avoid paying taxes. If your going to flip cars, that's just part of the costs involved.

  4. I have a Crown Vic I've been DD'ing, 2004, 87k on it, it came from our crime lab, I knew the only driver. It is a police package but has the street appearance package, meaning cloth, carpet, power seat, cruise, trac lok, no spot lamp, no holes actually, if this might do it for you, pm me, I'll shoot you some pictures.
  5. Invite him back to your drive way, asking him to go over what his process is. All the while gun in your waist band in sight and then go off and how you freaking hate scammers and that you hope hes not one. Tell him you will think about it. Would scare him off for sure.

While I agree that this is what one would feel like doing........ In reality, it will score you a menacing charge if not a aggravated menacing charge.

I would invite him back, and waste a lot of his time, I would recommend concealed carry while having interaction with said individual. People are nuts these days, and I wouldn't dismiss someone using this guise as a ruse to case your home.

  6. Congrats on the new arrival. Fuck the neighbors. Especially the passive fuckers that post on Facebook. Go knock on their door in person and tell them straight up that you don't do FB but welcome a face to face conversation. If they want to pay for the guys fence to help him out, then welcome that.

^^^^^THIS^^^^^ screw the FB bs, I'd tell all those neighbors(his pals) to go eat a bag of dicks. If he wanted a community fence, he should pay half, otherwise he can go fuck himself. Besides, what will those neighbors ever do for you? I can tell you what mine have done to me, but not for me. I've been here for 25 years, some of them have been here longer, but they know where the fuck I stand.

  7. He's just taken over the position at the beginning of the year and he seems to be very community-oriented. There seems to be more events going on now, or at least he himself is promoting them. Like, I never knew we had a July 4th party for kids in our park before until he went to every house to drop off a flyer.

Wow, that seems like a lot. I checked with the company that did ours before and they're charging 185 according to their website. And I thought I read where they also have to mark anytime the property line bends or is no longer straight.

I would imagine if the property didn't have straight lines, they would mark it as such.

The company I used was recommended by our county engineer, I figured there would be -0- questions if it came to going to court, as I used the same guy our county used for measurements.

As far as cost, it shut my neighbor down with his bullshit. It would have been worth twice that, and, at that point, I didn't care, I knew where my line was, but my asshole to the north wouldn't let up.......he's still butt hurt.

  8. Update:

The HOA president wanted to meet with us last night and discuss the issue. I explained what the problems were and why we had such an issue with it. I explained that we measured and found where we believe the property line was as well as the previous conversation we had back in April about not drilling into our fence. We went back and forth for a bit, so I'll save you from all of that.

In the end, the HOA president seem to side with me that I had every right to be upset. He suggested we go ahead and get it surveyed to figure out exactly where the line is. He was going to also check on the easement rules to see about blocking off the access to the boxes. He then said that until this is settled, my neighbor should take down the gate and the easement fencing immediately instead of waiting for this to get figured out. I said that sounds more than fair, but he tried to put up a fight because he was concerned about their dog getting to run around. His wife even told him to take it down right now since the dog can live on it's leash for a while longer. Came home today from work and the fencing is gone.

Overall, it went very well and I think he finally got the idea that he's not going to win. Working on finding someone to properly survey and even pin the lines so we can get this wrapped up. I'm open to recommendations if there's any out there.

Look up "land survey" in your yellow pages, or, you can call the city where you reside and ask who they would recommend, I paid $350 a few years back to have my pins marked.

Generally, they will only mark the 4 corners, not the lines.

  9. This is not a "new" phenomenon, the concept of adverse possession in property law is thousands of years old and exists precisely because of this situation. Dude puts a fence up on your property, and you know about it and you do nothing, over time it becomes his property. Granted in ohio he needs to have it for 15-20 years, but still - where is this notion that "entitlement and lack of respect" is newly rampant?

I'm not going to give any "legal" type opinion on this because generally this board reacts like a bunch of assholes when I do, but I will say this: If you are heading where I think this is heading (and it isn't to a confrontation with a gun but a confrontation with legal counsel) document everything. Send a registered letter to your neighbor (and keep a copy for yourself) putting him on notice that he erected a fence on your property without your permission and you are going to seek action to have the section removed that is on your property (don't tell him what action, make him guess). Every conversation you have about this with someone take written notes at the time of the conversation and date them (this will meet standards for evidence of the conversation - if you write it down a day later it may not meet the standards). Keep a written time line starting from when you had your first conversation with the neighbor till now and document things like when you sent the letter and when you spoke to the HOA. A reasonable person would give the neighbor written notice and an opportunity to correct the situation on their own so mention that in the letter.

Or you can evaluate how much time and energy you want to devote to this and decide to let it go and move on with your life.

    ^^^THIS^^^

  10. At this point, your best bet is to A) get the survey done and the pins marked B) let the city or HOA deal with it, people are truly nuts, sometimes they need a dose of reality, i.e. the governing body to come out and tell them that they can't do what they want to other peoples property.

You could always take YOUR fence down, forcing him to put his own up, it would be a win for you.

  11. Before you go off and step on toes....... are you 100% certain where the property lines are? Did you go find the pins in the 4 corners of your property? If so....proceed, if not, either call a surveyor or go locate the pins yourself, then ask them to move their fence, if they won't, call the city, the city may very well tell you it is a civil matter, just FYI.

I just had a similar occurrence, the guy behind me put up a property fence against my chain link fence 12 or so years ago, they are odd, so I just said fuck it. But then his POS started leaning towards my house and putting pressure on my fence.

I had my property surveyed, found out he was 10" on my side of the line on one end and 12" on the other, my city told me it was civil, I asked if because it was on my property, was it considered mine, they told me yes, I then asked for a permit to have a recreational fire, they came out and told the fucker to move his fence. I think they saw through my plan.....
