    The wife had a 02' had a couple issues with it, coil packs mostly, bought a new 07, she seems to like it, I like that it has been issue free.

     

    I think they are a preety solid truck, I would negotiate the price down a bit. But if it's what you want, and you can swing the $$$, by all means, buy it.

    There are tricks to beating the ticket...

     

    You can plead not guilty, which, will require an additional court date, it is possible the the citing officer won't show up, either work schedule won't allow it, or prior court dates won't.

     

    If he does show, you can always plead if you want at that time. As far as reckless, they would have to "prove" that you were reckless, speed, no matter how fast, doesn't justify reckless operation, there have to be additional circumstances, i.e., weaving, wheelies, a crash etc..

     

    Now, if you want to piss the court and judge off, when they ask you how you plea, tell them you wish to stand mute, in which case they have to enter a plea for you, you won't earn any points, but you will make them scratch their heads and go WTF?

     

    It's tough to beat a statie on a speed, but a fucking "pace", I'll throw the bullshit flag on that. Get a attorney, make them prove calibration on their equipment, if he paced you, he's going to have a hard time proving that his speedo was certified at the time prior and post to the citation. It is possible that he verified it with his radar, and logged it, that is legal, but doubtful that it was done.

    The black one is a DD Crown Vic LX Sport, with Marauder wheels (my spare set), the Marauder is a garage queen, usually have to cut the roots loose evertime I move it out. :D

     

    The Vic is a good beater car, don't much care what happens to it.

    I generally skip past the Capt. and call the chief, and yes, most are in my speed dial, cause I have "issues" regularly, usually,it's my right foot. :D

    lol i drive the speed limit and never do anything illegal. Thanks for not pulling me over for my exhaust system and fast (looking) car :)

     

     

    HaHa, that's some funny shit. My rule of thumb is to never cite anyone for anything I do myself.... I don't write many tickets. :D

     

    Show me a cop that doesn't speed, race, have tint too dark, have loud exhaust/stereo or otherwise bend the rules.

     

    I am sure that not everyone does these things... all at once at least, but most cops speed like madmen.

    i'll have to post shots of the car when I get to the house, I'm currently at work, and while I can good off a bit..... ah, you know.

     

    the car....

    2004 Marauder, 17K on the clock, mostly a garage queen, Dark torredor red, Trilogy twin screw supercharger, stainless Works long tube headers, wilwoods F/R soon to be installed, gobs of misc. parts that don't make it go any faster.

     

    I'll get some shots up ASAP.

     

    As far as me, ASE master tech, ASE master autobody/paint tech, been out of the "car' business for about 17 years, now working for the Gov't. Still love my cars, and gotta have all the toys, miss not having a shop at my disposal.
