  1. Scattered the motor at 6700rpm, isn't that what rev limiters are supposed to prevent? A car making 100hp over stock (we're assuming around 400hp, right?) shouldn't be a grenade unless it's poorly put together or you drive like a moron with no mechanical sympathy. It's too bad he's 19 and still walking around like an open wound, taking a few snaps so seriously he has to flood the internet forums with rebuttals, but you'll have that... At 19 I was driving a 90hp Jetta GLI (first gen, bitches!) and happy to have it, so I guess I'd have been a little more humble about things, not assuming I'd get hugs everywhere I went, but then again we communicated by telegraph and smoke signals back then so... What was the question? Oh yeah, the kid chose poorly, picked the wholly fail instead of the holy grail... ...and I just farted.
  2. Thanks for the tip, I am officially updated, or backdated, errr, you get the idea.
  3. Ya know, I may have tried that after letting locash lapse, think that may have been my password back in the day, it's been awhile...
  4. Worked at Jegs, he was an occasional customer. It was years ago, I left the area in '05. Myself and a couple other guys would joke about things that happened on the site back then, when it was really active. I spotted the memorial on the site and had to rejoin to see what happened. It's tragic, but all too common. I ride too, so it's always in the back of my mind that me vs car = car wins. It's too bad, he had a very mature sense of humor, even as a teenager. My old screen name was straightouttalocash. I just remembered, otherwise I would have used it to come back. gp
  5. Apparently I need to make a 2-post intro and/or my rep sucks...? I can't even view my own profile, it's that top secret. Meh, anyway, it was the highlighting of Kenny's old avatar that really drew me in and made me want to rejoin for a bit and see what had become of the old site... gp
  6. I was a member way back when (#501 or something? Not super early anyway) and I joined again mostly just to pay respects to Kenny. He was a good kid. Great sense of humor. Forever known for the cark & as the later owner of the car that used to kick ass on Charter (aka Nick's old T-Type). R.I.P. Kenny... gp
