It's an '06, so it has the 2.5L. '05 was the year they put the 2.0L in the Aero and WRX. I have to admit I like the body on the Saab better than the WRX, but I like the interior better on the Subaru. My Cousin owns an '06 Aero, and my buddy has the non-turbo version 9-2x Linear, but with a full STi drivetrain and brake swap. Like these guys have said, go to Subaru for anything other than body panels or interior. And, I wouldn't doubt if the Subaru interior would be cheaper if you needed to replace anything, due to the limited run of the Saab version.

My motor is fine after 30K of flogging it. A good tune is the key to making a motor last. The "doom tunes" that people find online and put them on their car without logging it is where a lot of them come from. I know people that put down 500+WHP on open deck EJ205's without problems, and are daily driven.

What community is this? I looked at most of the apartment complexes in Marysville before I moved to Ohio.

I've seen the car before in Marysville. For some crazy reason I thought it was turbocharged.

I ended up buying a set of Blizzak WS-60's since during the winter I periodically take trips to northern MI and need the deeper snow performance rather than dry/wet pavement.

WRX if you want a quick DD. My advice is to buy one that is stock and spend $500 to get 240-250whp. RS if you just want a point A to point B car with AWD. I ended up buying a GC as my DD after I put coilovers on my WRX.

Usually, if being chased by a grizzly, you wouldn't have the time to climb high enough to get above where it could reach you (I believe the highest point a grizzly has been seen to climb is 28 feet). Besides, trying to get away from a grizzly charge would almost certainly induce an attack. And I'm not sure if I'd take advice from a bunch of rednecks where grizzlys arent even present. Maybe they saw a brown phase black bear?

I've done the Import Vs Domestic Shootout called Winged Warrior in Indianapolis. It's a charity event for the childrens hospital held at Oreilly Raceway Park. It is comprised of drag, autoX, and car show. Shouldn't that car be trapping 110-115 instead of 99? I trap that in my WRX making 240 hp.

If you're willing to travel, there is just about anything out there.

Good luck finding a hardtop WS6 T/A. They only made a couple in '98 I believe. Your best bet is Autotrader and make a 500 mile search radius for a car that specific. Look for B4C cars to find less weight.

If that's the case then I should quit looking at Evo's and buy a set of cams and I should get 500hp. 500whp out of the EJ205 is not an easy task. 2.5L, built, sleeved, 35/42R, 6 speed. That will get him somewhere around 500whp. His best bet would be to sell the WRX and buy an STi if he wants to do it cheaper. The 04 STi's are getting cheaper, and he would have a better platform to start with.

Too much fun + no real job at the time + tickets = gone! I do miss it though, and plan on getting another F-body in a year or two. I got the Subaru for a car I can drive almost anywhere at any time. When we got that 16" of snow last winter I had absolutely no problems driving through unplowed areas, even though most of the snow went over the hood, not under the car.
