  1. Rings really? Goes from not using oil to using a quarter a tank of gas? Seems too quick. I thought rings die slowly. Months not days. But this is all opinions and I'm not an expert. Head gasket did fix the heat, before head gasket they did find exhauste gases in the radiator.
  2. Cliffs I have an '03 civic with 120k miles Last year car had poor heat, timing belt and water pump done (OEM). This winter still poor heat unless engine was reved over 2,500. Local shop bled system, problem returned. Shop diagnosed head gasket. Head gasket replaced, head machined, valve job not done, $1300. With in 4 days of getting the car back check engine light comes on for V-tec. Shop said it was low on oil. Since I had the head gasket done it burns a quart of oil every 300 miles (tank of gas). It only used 1 quart for 5,000 miles before the head gasket. I want the shop to pull the head again because something was done wrong. Shop says if they find nothing wrong who is going to pay for the 2nd replacement. They tried a new PCV valve, some additive in the oil and they claim it must be the rings. Engine has good, even compression (could be an oil ring still). All spark plugs look the same. There is no oil on the garage floor or the bottom of the engine. I took it to Honda for a second opinion and they said it is burning oil and without pulling the head they don't know why. Anyone heard of a honda going from no oil to this much in 4 days? I want the shop to make it right, but they are giving me the run around. They talk about the number of head gaskets they have done without problems. They argue if they pull the head and it is not that, what next? It has been 2 months of going in every 2 weeks to complain and they blame something else. What would you do?
  3. If you bought that same helicopter straight up it would take you about 6 months to be able to fly like that if you flew 20 minutes a day (2 batteries). I started with a simple helicopter for about 3 months and then it took about 2 months with that big one. I have not flown in about a year.
  4. I have a Blade 400 electric 3D helicopter. Costs about $450 with a controller and it can do all that stuff. They are a bitch to learn to fly. When the tail faces you the controls are normal, when the nose faces you everything is reversed, when it is upside down with the tail facing you some controls are reversed and other controls are reveresed when the nose faces you upside down. Everytime you crash it is $50+ and at least 2 hours, sometimes more to set it all back up. Here I am at the Dublin middle school.
  5. I have a cat, I hate the litter plus they don't go into attics. Snap traps are the best with peanut butter. After a week of catching them, but a few up there with bait but not set, so they get used to them again. Then a few days later set em again. Glue traps are awful, I would never use those.
  6. That is some crazy racing! They are all so young too.
  7. Cool, but a boring video. Check this out for your truck!
  8. I have all three, Netflix, Amazon, Redbox. Redbox selection is not great, but they are new. Give them a few years. Amazon Prime does not have much good stuff in the way of "free" but you can rent for like $2 a lot of things Netflix is still the best, especially if you like TV. Their movies are ok, but most movies I search for are not on Instant. Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Alias, 24, Lost, Dexter, are great. Wife has a few series she watches too. I also click through Star Trek Next Gen and MacGuyver when she is not home.
  9. Give the phone to your three year old to talk to.
  10. Product has mixed reviews. Everyone says it works great, on the site it requires 2 separate coats from 2 different cans. People claim it wears off quickly. Worth a try for $20 at box stores. This is neat.
  11. eh, they are entertaining, but the first one and SanFran are the best ones. Seem more improvised then this one.
  12. You are going to live in sin? God's punishment! jk Keep valuables out of the car and leave it unlocked. If you have an expensive radio in there, take the face off and lock the car. You could take a screen shot of your camera and place that in the car window at night with a sign saying "under surveillance" or something like that. Otherwise there is really nothing you can do except have insurance to cover a break in.
  13. Been kicking ass on this thing and working my ass off at work. Installed the garage door myself, what a nightmare. I should have hired it. It is 18' wid, 8' tall, has the wind package which means double hindges and braces. It also has 2 springs that require 8.5 turns (normal is 7). Took 13 hours so far to install and wind the springs. http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq342/xyster101/Garage/2013-11-04203716_zps936560b7.jpg Windows installed in 2 hours for both: http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq342/xyster101/Garage/2013-11-02162235_zps0aaed57a.jpg Had someone due the gutters. If you do gutters get the 4x3 larger downspouts, they clog less. http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq342/xyster101/Garage/2013-11-05162533_zps691bf2b9.jpg
  14. Something for the both of you! Amazon sells it all! http://amzn.com/B000293DGC Prime eligible too. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31R3EpIQ6hL._SS100_.jpg
  15. Will only last 10k miles, if he's lucky. I miss my MR2, a blast to drive.
