A buddy. First tranny he has ever done. Going to unoh though, I was pretty impressed with how he researched and studied the tranny while he was working on it. Real hungry to learn and develop his skills at only 20y/o.

Turns out that the 3rd gear synchro might be on the shaft backwards..

Just had a friend rebuild my T56 and after the install is still grinding. Before we took it out to rebuild it wouldn't shift into 3 or4 but before that it was grinding Into3rd and popping out of 3rd. Upon tear down we discovered broke3-4 shift fork, broken blocking ring on 3rd gear and the 2nd and 3rd gear dog teeth were worn pretty bad . So after a call to tick performance I had all I needed to repair it he put it all together, all clearances were good etc... re installed in car along with a new tick adj. Mc and monster stage3 clutch. Still grinds into 3rd but stays in gear that's the only issue I'm having now... What could be?? Blocking ring not working properly? Synchros are brand new New blocking rings 2-3 speed gears steel 3-4 shift fork...

Anyone know what the differences are in These two tranny's?? my LS1 Tremec Needs Fixed but I found a good T56 out of a Terminator that is Pretty Cheap. What all would I need to change? Wondering if it would be worth Buying just till I can get mine Built.

Ok. Tranny is apart. 3-4 gear shift fork is broke....3rd gear" dog teeth are grounded off pretty good.... blocker rings are probably shot...

it will be my first, none of the Local Shops around here will touch it so me and a friend are going to attempt it. Hope fully it doesnt need much but i will find out probably this week and start oredering parts.

Also, besides whats broke What should i replace when its apart? Car Has about 375 HP But One Day i would like to go more, Would like to buidl a dependable 11 sec. Daily Driver to Take to the Track about every week.

Getting ready to tear down my tranny... where can I get parts for it when I find out what I need??

I just Pulled the M6 Out of My Car and am looking for a few Parts before i start putting it back together. If anyone Has a Good Aluminum Flywheel or Driveshaft would be interested. Also might be interested in a good used clutch kit. Also 4.10 gears for a 12-bolt.

Been thinkin about moving, just looking at some options. Have been to Tennessee a few times really liked it down there. Anyone know what cost of living is? Or where is a better place then another to live. Have found a few jobs around Nashville but don't know if that's where I want to go.
