  1. How high? I did a 3" I grabbed a 3" coil and leaf pins from JeeperzCreeperz in Southfield MI Then I used S 10 leafs. Lots of mini truckers around Toledo. I still need to lengthen the rear brakeline I also dropped teh transfer case 1" because I got some driveline vibes (still do ) I also welded some extensions on my swaybar links. Eventually Ill get some discos I probably spent $250 on parts after buying U bolts and other crap
  2. another masochist. Have an extra 00-01 4.0 laying around? @Buckeye: Put that car up FS on Torinocobra http://www.torinocobra.com/forum/ Everyone is dogdick broke on there but you never know...
  3. The Jeepforum.com guys debate this all the time. Do a search on there or start here for a few opinions/links http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f8/do-your-self-bedliner-57630/ Herculiner seems to be a favorite. These guys use it on their rocker panels and inside the CJ tubs. It gets abused pretty bad on a Jeep. I'd trust their opinions FWIW I did my rear bumper on my XJ with a rustoleum rattlecan bedliner and its held up nicely to daily abuse
  4. I'm willing to bet everyone on here's rides spend less time on jackstands than mine. I tend to break cars just through commuting and terrible luck. Anyway, I suppose I should get outta here before it looks like a multi page chick-intro and join the fray to see what's up on here. Thanks for the welcome.
  5. That guy had a Gran Torino. I'm a pre-1972 guy. Not really into that "newfangled" stuff

  10. lulz. I heard all about the oven so I figured I'd try the riciest thing I could think of. Thanks for the welcome. I hope to hit up a meet or something before we're all buried in snow
  11. (sorry this is so long) This car was a good friend of mine's. He had it 20 years befor selling it to me. When I wrecked my 70 Torino he sold me the freshly painted roller to put my driveline in. It was a green 302 car but he painted it a factory available Grabber Blue. I added the 466/C6 31 spline trac lock N case rear with a 3:50 gear. I also added buckets, console, GT hood, 429 callouts and the Magnum 500s. The car ran a best 13.776 with the previous 3:00 gear set. My buddy's pic when he bought it 20 yrs ago http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/supercobrajet/70%20fairlane%2008/sc005a036302.jpg http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/supercobrajet/70%20fairlane%2008/sc005a0363.jpg During: http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/supercobrajet/DSC05020.jpg http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/supercobrajet/DSC04991.jpg now: http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/supercobrajet/70%20fairlane%2008/DSCF0222.jpg http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/supercobrajet/70%20fairlane%2008/DT.jpg http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/supercobrajet/70%20fairlane%2008/100_6330.jpg http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/supercobrajet/70%20fairlane%2008/100_1462.jpg Money shot: http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/supercobrajet/DSC05610.jpg If this isn't too boring I'll post up some of my other Ford garbage I've owned
  12. ^ Just kidding. I'm Phil from Toledo. I work as a graphic designer. I'm an oldguy 43. I am also a mod on Toledo Tuners and (until recently) admin on TorinoCobra.com. (site changed hands so I stepped aside for the new guy). My point: No drama or trolling from me. I decided to join up because a couple of my friends moved down there and my brother lives there as well. I plan on visiting a lot more and I want to check out the scene and hopefully network myself a new job and source of car parts. On to the car shit: I'm a Ford guy but this is my current DD, I sold my 2.3/5speed turbo mustang for this shitpile. It started knocking last week so I'm pretty pissed. Plans: new 4.0 swap, SYE, recovery points, take it wheeling and dent the fucker all up. http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/supercobrajet/blujeep/100_6041.jpg http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/supercobrajet/blujeep/100_6045.jpg http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/supercobrajet/traverse%20aug-2010/IMG_0379.jpg Wife's DD http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/supercobrajet/Cherokee/100_5565.jpg This is the fun-car I am building for my wife. A 1968 Ford Fairlane 500. 302/C4 auto/8" rear. Its our cruiser. My wife is recovering from breast cancer bullshit so it seemed fitting to build her a car. I picked this up for $2000 of a local towtruck driver/repo guy I know. Before: http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/supercobrajet/68/badside.jpg http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/supercobrajet/68/int.jpg The cowl was a little rusty http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/supercobrajet/100_0218.jpg so we cut it out http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/supercobrajet/100_0227.jpg http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/1125/0000142zw6.jpg five minutes later... http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/supercobrajet/68/100_3656.jpg http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/supercobrajet/millbury%20crusie%2010/100_6386.jpg http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/supercobrajet/car%20show%202010/100_6457.jpg Next post: My car...
