I'm somewhat concerned about a one loss SEC team jumping an unbeaten OSU team to get in, but not overly concerned. I still like Ohio State's odds on getting in with our remaining schedule. I just see Oregon slipping up either this week against UCLA, next week against Stanford, or the last week against Oregon State who has a stud at QB. If OSU doesn't get in, I think it will be due to FSU and Bama both going unbeaten, but I still think the odds of more than two unbeaten teams at the end of the year is slim, and I like Ohio State's odds of getting in as long as they continue to take care of business (regardless of perception).

ESPN's lead story on the NCAA Football Page... "To Eat its own." -The biggest threat to the SEC's BCS title streak might be the SEC. The league's downtrodden have risen up at the expense of expected contenders. I figured this would happen. The lower level SEC teams beat some of the higher end teams, and instead of the higher end teams being looked at as weak, it just boosts the lower teams into looking like something special. When the exact same thing happens in the B1G, for example OSU not blowing out these teams, it's looked at as failure. So Georgia is still regarded as something decent? Lost to Clemson, who was exposed in dramatic fashion? South Carolina is still ranked after losing to Tennesse, who I may add was manhandled by Oregon 59-14. Where is the love for Wisconsin? They lost a game that should not have been against Arizona State, and a legitimate loss to us, a top 5 team..yet they are not even in the BCS top 25. What about Michigan State? Yes, their offense struggles, but they have one of the top defenses in the country, and are by no means an easy opponent. I can very easily see us going against an 11-1 Michigan State team in the B1G championship game ranked 15th or 16th. The SEC is so lucky to have Alabama hold their standards, because other than them, I don't think anyone in the SEC is that great. I do think Mizzou is solid though. I think the SEC will be exposed in their bowl games this year.

Damn man, sucks to hear...I'm sure touch up paint will make it less noticeable, but it won't look great. I know the feeling though, my window was smashed just to steal my book bag a few weeks ago...living anywhere near downtown/campus pretty much guarantees your car is going to get fucked up at some point. Too many drunk college kids, and hood rats.

Yeah I agree. I think if we were to be matched up with Oregon, it'd be an exciting shoot-out that could go either way. If Oregon was to go on and play Alabama, I'm guessing it'd be somewhere in the 45-20 range Alabama. I think the country has swayed to pulling for a FSU/Bama title game. I could see FSU being similar to a Cooper team though and blowing it.

These are very interesting, and good points you bring up. I've thought from the beginning that Oregons hype was a little obnoxious and they really haven't deserved it. I think Florida State is the real deal though.

What about Missouri jumping into the top 5? I'm assuming since they are in the SEC it means Missouri > Miami.

I'm 99% sure Francona won't use Perez. That would literally be a devestating move in his part. That's a dusty baker move, and Francona > Baker

That guy is actually pretty hilarious :lolguy:

If you really think about it, it's Cleveland. The city can't sell out games because nobody in that stupid city has money lol. Ticket prices are obviously going to go up though for the playoffs...I mean, it is the playoffs. I'm so iffy on Salazar pitching...I would have loved to see Jiminez on the mound tonight, but needing to pretty much win out to get in, we needed him in our last game. I guess if Salazar looks shaky like Cueto did early on, we can bring in Masterson who can easily pitch a solid 5 or 6 innings no problem given the circumstances. I hope the atmosphere is at least half of what it was in Pittsburgh last night. The Cueto chant was insane, and you could tell he was flustered. Haven't seen a baseball crowd impact a game like that ever.

I'm fairly certain he wouldn't like Planet Fitness. Dumbbells go up to like 60lbs, and they have a "lunk" alarm that goes off if you grunt or drop weights. I go to metro fitness downtown, and I like it. It's smaller, but I love the atmosphere being in the center of downtown in a historic building. Any metro besides the one on bethel is nice though.

Haters gonna hate. Last time I checked, those "AAA" teams played 162 games as well, and they certainly weren't all against the Indians. Who do you like?

Why don't you worry about getting past Billy Bean And the A's first

Saturdays game is Ohio State's real last shot to impress the voters until they play Michigan. We let a potential blowout turn into a nail biter late. Style points mean so much this season, and although I would say Northwestern is my second favorite Big Ten team, we need to crush them. No more letting off the gas.

I know this thread won't attract many people, but as a pretty big sports fan, I figured this was thread worthy beings both Ohio teams are in. Reds play tonight, I'm not sure I agree with Bakers decision to start Cueto due to his sustained injuries throughout the year and lack of innings pitched. I still think the Reds could do some damage if they can get past the first team. I think it all rests on the offense with the Reds, because their pitching staff, including starters and relievers are amongst the top of the NL and MLB. Indians play the Rays tomorrow night. I'm intrigued by this because the Indians are coming off 10 straight wins, the largest win streak going into the playoffs since the year 1900. Although the Indians don't have the greatest lineup, or the best pitching staff, they found a way to get it done when it mattered most. That reflects directly on Francona and the rest of the coaching staff. They needed to win 10 straight to get in, and they won 10 straight. If they do get past the Rays tomorrow, they will be up against the 1 seeded Red Sox, Francona's old ball club. Should be interesting! Any other thoughts on the playoffs? Predictions?
