I've heard about Veterans getting free or discounted tickets for CBJ games. Does anyone have experience with how this works? I tried to look online and couldn't find anything. What proof do you need to provide? Military ID? VA Card? DD214? Do you just get 1 ticket for yourself? If I wanted to bring my girlfriend could I get my ticket for free and pay for hers and sit together?

When I lived in MS, I felt like I would encounter a random race at least once a week on the street running errands. In Columbus, I literally have never had someone try to race me. Not once. I think it's because of two things. Mississippi isn't real strict on street racing like Columbus and being warm all year around with no salt on the road makes it more practical to own a 500+whp "fun" car. You have to really love street racing or have a lot of expendable income to be willing to put $100k+ into a car that you trailer to a race spot. I'll take a 400-600hp car that I can drive everyday, sounds good and throws me back in my seat when I want it to.

If it takes 1000+hp to be competitive these days, that doesn't even sound fun. It sounds extremely expensive. I'm glad I'm out of that life now but i will admit, it was a lot of fun.

Not that I'm advocating tOSU getting in. The biggest variables in all of this is, there's still 3 weeks left and nobody knows what the committee will ultimately base their choice on if it's close. Ohio State needs... -To win out in impressive fashion. Style points are very important right now for them. -Alabama to win out. Someone from the SEC is getting in regardless, this is the only way 2 SEC teams for sure don't get in. Auburn will have 3 losses and UGA will have 2 without a CC. -Oklahoma to win out. Someone from the B12 is getting in regardless, might as well be the team that beat us to improve our "quality loss" category. -Stanford to win out. This eliminates any chance of a P12 team getting in. I honestly don't know what the best case for tOSU is in regards to what happens in the ACC. It's hard for me to see them putting 2 ACC teams in, but you never know. Again, I'm not advocating for tOSU to get in. I'd rather be left out than embarrassed again honestly but if I'm given a free chip to put on red or black, I'm not throwing it away.

OSU has a nice lil rivalry going with MSU the past 6 years or so. The past 6 years the series is tied at 3-3 The total score is 130-128 the slight edge to MSU. Average score of the game is 21.6 to 21.3. It really doesn't get closer than it's been. I would expect nothing but a dog fight Saturday. MSU is a team that always scares me on the schedule because Dantonio always has his guys ready to play the Buckeyes.

If OSU loses Saturday I'm for sure taking next Saturday off against Illinois. I guess I'll watch the scUM game regardless...

Urban is also 13 years younger than Saban. That's not to say Saban could coach till he's 80 and Urban could retire when he's 60, but it's likely Urban will coach more total games as a HC than Saban. Are you gonna knock Urban for that? I think the only fair comparison will be when both coaches are retired and you can make a fair argument for each given all the variables. Right now I'd give the edge to Saban though.

Obviously I'm still pulling for us to win the B1G. This weeks game against MSU will decide who goes to Indy to play Wisconsin. I wouldn't doubt MSU's offense looks like a top 5 offense in college football though after what we saw this past weekend. All MSU has to do is watch about 10 minutes of tape and see that we can't cover anything in the middle of the field and just attack it all game and we won't stop them. I'm glad we got exploited though. The last thing I wanted was to get back to the playoffs and get completely humiliated again. It's really disheartening to see teams with this much talent (the last 3 years) fail to meet expectations and show up to big games. It has to fall back on coaching. No, I'm not saying Urban is on any sort of hot seat or even a warm seat, but he seems to have lost his edge. To answer your question, I think we should still expect to win the B1G and play a top 8 team in a NY6 bowl. Although I wouldn't be surprised if we lose 1 more game and then lose our bowl game and finish with 4 losses.

Arnette sucks. Worst DB we have. He constantly makes horrible decisions and can't cover anyone. He sucks as tackling and he isn't even that fast. Add in that our LBs have no idea what's going on in the middle of the field if it's not a run play and combine that with a pro style offense that likes to use a 2 TE set it spells disaster. I've never watched an Ohio State defense look so confused it was completely embarrassing for them and our coaching staff. I don't understand how you can come into a game that unprepared. Says quite a lot about our coaches right now...
